We stayed 2 nights 7/21/25 and 7/29/25 the night before and after our Alaskan Cruise. ||The first night the elevator was broken and our room was on the 3rd floor, the desk clerk did offer assistance with our luggage. ||Before we arrived we called the hotel to make arrangements for transportation to and from the Port/Pier. During the time when I was giving my information for the transportation I could not decide if I should make a round trip ticket or not. The clerk said get a round trip ticket, when you arrive if there is a room available we will allow you to check in early, you can have breakfast if it is still out and if not we can store your luggage until your room is ready. When we got to the hotel (9:30-9:45) after the cruise we were told by Claudia that there was a king room available and we could have it for an additional $45 since we are choice members. Otherwise as Choice members we could check in at 12:00 for no additional funds. We decided to wait until 12:00. At 11:55 I went to the desk and ask if we could go ahead and check in because by the time we could retrieve our luggage from the other room it would be 12:00. Claudia then said that they did not have a room for us because other people had paid the $45 therefore she gave them the room and about 30 minutes ago I had three king rooms but they paid the $45. This entire time we had been sitting on the couch in the lobby in front of the front desk. I then said when you get another king will you tell us? She said "No", you will have to come back up and check. I said let me make sure that I understand this. Even though you know that we are waiting on a king and you see us sitting right here, if someone else comes in and asks for a king you will give it to them? She said, "Yes". I then had to start coming up to the desk every 5 minutes and/or if I saw someone coming in the door I had to go to the desk to check because she would have given the king to them if they asked for it. This action was just too petty on her behalf and she was eating out of a paper plate with chop sticks while working at the check in desk. All of this is unprofessional. Another lady was at the desk and when I asked her about the king a few times she called me up when she saw a king available. ||Another customer came in at 12:00 who was not a Choice member and Claudia told him that since he was not a Choice member she could check him in early for $25 extra otherwise he would have to wait until 3:00. My point here is that if Choice members want to check in an extra 2 1/2 hours before choice member check in time we pay $45 extra however non choice members can check in 3 hours before their regular check in time and only pay $25 extra. Make it make sense!!||Breakfast was fine, oatmeal with all the fixings, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, potatoes, coffee, tea, cereal, yogurt, pancakes, waffles, hard boiled eggs. I think everyone can find something that they can eat.||No water to Cold water for showers (Room107) on the morning of 7/30/25. I don't know what was going on with the water but when we attempted to get a shower around 7:15 A.M. there was absolutely no water coming out the shower head or sink, it then changed to a trickle. We decided to eat breakfast then come back to take a shower finally at around 8:45 I was able to get a steady trickle of water but it was freezing cold, no hot water in the shower or the sink. ||Housekeeping opened our door at around 8:30 that's unacceptable. No one in housekeeping should knock nor open the room door unless it is past the check out time or they see that the customer has checked out at...
Read moreThis must be one of our worst experiences checking in a hotel.
First, the lady receptionist was unable to find my booking. When she finally did find my name after repeated attempts, she claims I need to do an early check in fee. Our booking was for December 1-2, we paid for an overnight stay, so that we have a comfortable place to stay while in between flights. During the time of the booking, I made it explicitly clear that we will only be able to check in on December 02 morning (since our flight arrives at 8 am), and check out on the same date for an international flight. This arrangement is done precisely to avoid an early check in fee, even though we won’t technically use December 01 evening. This should actually work for the hotel’s benefit since we are staying only for a few hours in between flights.
We were informed that we are a NO-SHOW since we failed to check in on December 01, and that I have to do the booking all over again, pay the early check in fee, and ask for a refund from hotels.com where I made the booking - all this despite the fact that we have already duly paid for the room that we were desperate to check in to since we have not slept the entire night for a very early morning flight from oakland to seattle. And all this despite my showing evidence that I did a pre-check in where I have clearly indicated my check in preference, the communication I had with the hotel itself that I will check in on December 02 instead. This was ignored with repeated attempts to get me to pay for an early check in.
I am especially grateful for the lady receptionist’s colleague who kindly and calmly stepped in, took over the issue, provided some way to key everything into the system, was accommodating and helpful and encouraged us to avail of the free breakfast which by right is included in what we paid for an overnight booking.
I am flummoxed by the rigidity, the inflexibility, and the overall disdain and rude behavior demonstrated by someone who is supposedly in the hospitality business. A hotel should be a comfort and a haven to travelers - this is what we paid for. Yet, we were made to feel unwelcome, that we have done something wrong for being a no-show (is this a flight where one is penalized for being a no-show? I thought this was supposed to be a hotel) - despite ALL provided evidence indicating that we have conveyed this information clearly upon booking and the pre-check in which the hotel asks guests to fill out. Had they bothered to read my pre-check in details, the information about our preferred check in date of December 02 was very clearly indicated. There was zero empathy for the fact that we may not have had any sleep from an early morning flight, that we had rightly paid for the booking - we overpaid in fact since we did not use the evening of december 01, which was totally fine with us, just so we can catch a few hours of sleep before a long international flight. Yet, we encountered a receptionist who should clearly consider a different line of work, if the default kindness and willingness to accommodate is not in her nature - something very clearly needed in the hospitality business. What should have been a reprieve and a relaxing experience before a long international flight was nearly turned into a nightmare, if not for the very gentle and kind lady who took over and provided us with assistance, for which we...

The Good
Excellent Value for Airport Hotels - At $138.98 for the night, this property delivers solid value, especially considering the included perks. The two huge queen beds in room 308 were exactly what my friend and I needed for a comfortable night’s sleep before our flight back to Vegas.
Hassle-Free Check-In - The front desk staff were efficient and friendly. While there was initially a $45 early check-in fee mentioned, they quickly waived it when I provided my Choice member ID. The process was smooth and we were in our room within minutes.
Great Airport Hotel Perks - Two major advantages that make this place stand out: completely free parking (a huge money-saver at airport hotels) and no deposit required at check-in. These details make a real difference when you’re just passing through.
Comfortable Accommodations - The room was spacious and the beds were genuinely comfortable. Perfect setup for travelers who need quality rest before an early flight.
The Not-So-Good
Disruptive Housekeeping - This was our biggest complaint and significantly impacted our stay. Housekeeping began slamming other guest room doors at 8am, making it impossible to sleep in. Even worse, they entered our room twice without permission - once at 9am and again at 10am - asking if we were checking out that day. This was particularly frustrating since checkout isn’t until noon, and we clearly weren’t packed or ready to leave either time.
Bottom Line
Despite the housekeeping issues, I’d definitely recommend Country Inn & Suites Seattle Airport for travelers needing convenient, affordable accommodation near the airport. The free parking alone can save you $20-30 per night compared to other area hotels, and the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed.
Pro tip: If you’re a Choice member, mention it upfront to avoid any early check-in fees. Also, consider requesting a room away from housekeeping storage areas if you plan to sleep past 8am.
Would I stay again? Yes, but I’d definitely speak with the front desk about the housekeeping schedule and room entry policies to ensure a more...
