I utilized “cheap parking” to pre pay for parking at double tree Hilton. The instructions were vague on where to go when I got there. Also the parking lot was not clearly labeled, not fenced and right by the main road. The parking lot had a ticket gate so I was confused on how to get my pre paid spot. I went into the hotel and had minimal help from the front desk and also had to wait in the line of people checking in. The shuttle was great and I didn’t have to wait long to get to or from the airport. On my return I again had to wait in the hotel check in line to ask about my pre pay parking. Waited probably 20 minutes in the line. Once I was helped I was given a second ticket that should override my ticket $ amount since I prepaid. Once I got to the gated ticket area my second ticket to get out of the lot kept reading error. I had to wait for someone to answer my “push to talk” button on the intercom. I explained to the lady I had gotten a second voucher ticket at front desk and couldn’t get out. I was rudely responded to that they didn’t do vouchers. So I preceded to explain the situation and was finally able to leave. Double tree Hilton parking was confusing and a waste of time. The area and being not fenced is not ideal. Read moreDropping off the car and taking the shuttle to the airport required going into the hotel and verifying reservation, bad enough, but the return was a nightmare. the shuttles supposedly run every half hour on the half hour/hour. I arrived at the pick up point at 2:45 PM which meant the next shuttle would not until 3:10 to 20. About 3:15, the doubletree shuttle drove by, I was standing with 2 other people also waiting for it, we were furiously waving but it just sped past us and did not stop any where along the pick up points. After waiting another 15 minutes I gave up and paid $10 to take a cab. When I arrived there was a long line to get the parking ticket validated. When I pointed out what happened the desk clerk said "sorry we don't run the shuttle" and he gave a card with another company name on it and said I have to call them. Read moreI wouldn’t say this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Our room was disappointing—definitely not as clean as it should have been. There was a stale, unpleasant odor, and after looking around more closely, we found stains and messes throughout the room. The patio windows were covered in handprints and kiss marks, and there were large cobwebs in nearly every corner. The worst part was the mold growing on the ceiling near the bathroom.
On the positive side, the staff was friendly, and the food was decent. However, the shuttle was another letdown. It was quite dirty, and the driver started driving before my 4-year-old and I even had a chance to sit down, which felt unsafe.
