There are a lot of galleries around Pike's Place and Post Street. Was really concerned I had found the wrong one online because they layout appears to have changed based on the photos. My only confirmation that I got the right spot was the copious complaints about the same individual with the trash attitude that happens to sit behind the counter, whether it be the owner or an employee, doesn't matter.
We didn't touch anything, we didn't take photos, we barely spoke and that was enough to warrant sighs of frustration that was obvious enough to make us uncomfortable after being at the location for less than a minute.
Eventually, we settled on some prints we wanted, and we actually spent money in spite of the individual behind the counter. No thank you, didn't speak to us other than to grumble at us (unprompted) that the prints weren't originals...
We felt judged, unwelcome, and "less than" for visiting this location.
I don't leave negative reviews and went out of my way to leave this despite supporting the location with my purchase.
I'm curious to see your response. should you have the content of character to apologize, I'd accept it. However, historically speaking, the excuses given show that content to be empty. No excuse in this situation.
We walked in, found some cool looking prints, and bought them all in spite of the treatment we received.
If I had read these reviews I probably would have just left and spared myself the time and effort.
Try to do better and...

The person working the counter was so rude despite how polite and gentle I am anywhere I go. I adhere to no photo signs, I don't touch without thought or intent to purchase, so in spite of all the rude replies the owner has given to negative reviews, they have nothing to complain about me. I'm thoroughly disgusted with this individual. I am not an inconvenience to you when I am supporting your business. All this said, you ignored me and spoke to me with such bitterness that I can't in good conscious recommend anyone to go here. I placed my sticker down on the counter and heard her mumble something about cash, which I replied in the affirmative "cash." I even said I was looking to get more and was taking a moment to look at more things on the counter, but the pushy rude staff member kept saying it was cash for purchases under $5. I was going to pay in cash regardless, which is why I replied the way I did, but I was so put off from buying more (and I was planning to buy a lot more.)
They'll apparently look down on you if you're not dropping bank here. Maybe they just really hate their patrons, who knows.
They don't want you here. The honestly very pretty art is not worth the hostile...

I have purchased 4 works from this gallery in the past month, and plan to return shortly to buy some originals and a few prints that I can't get originals for since they have long been sold. My girlfriend has also purchased multiple prints herself.
This gallery has some of the best local talent I have seen in a long time.
I collect obscure and local art. I prefer vibrant color patterns and generally just fun scenes.
These artists are incredible. Every time I have had a question they answer without an issue. Even when the work is not their own, they have gotten in contact with the artist for Me.
I have never experienced the type of treatment these reviews have stated.
At the end of the day, it is a great gallery with beautiful paintings and prints, made by some very talented local artists.
Give them a shot. Just don't walk in there thinking you're about to be buying the gallery out and expect them to kiss your feet. Let's face it, they know,...
