I've been going to Ricky for several years and have had the privilege of getting to know most employees beyond the typical stylist-customer surface level.

1000/10. This salon (and the people) deserve some attention. Each and every stylist, of course to include Ricky, are incredibly talented- I've done a variety of random things to my hair, and Ricky nails it each time (taking into consideration my wishes, which range from platinum blonde with extensions to short black hair) whilst utilizing his many years of professional experience. Each time, the result (and the company) is superior.

I've sent my mother-in-law to Brenna, and I swear I've never seen my mother-in-law so excited about her hair before. Additionally, she had a great time getting to know Brenna, and mentioned that she felt very welcomed upon arrival. So, I recommend this place to close friends and family often, and I know any one of the stylists will take care of them. This salon simply ensures that you will have a consistently professional and fun experience with a result better than you imagined. If there is an element in the salon that is not providing such experience, of course, that is something that is readily (and rightfully) addressed.

Additionally, the owners and employees of this salon are great people, simply put. The moment you walk in, I promise you will feel genuinely cared for. Take it from someone who works in a profession surrounded by what the general population would categorize as "bad people." I'm serious. Trust me.

Also, the fact the owners worked their tails off to build a business from the ground up in (1) an incredibly competitive industry and (2) an incredibly expensive part of the country - and STILL manage to find success- even AFTER THE PANDEMIC- should tell you everything you need to know about this salon and the hard working and passionate individuals who make this work their life- for YOU.

In short: book the appointment, sit in the chair, have an amazing time with wonderful people, and walk...

I came in about 5 months ago after admittedly getting a bad hair cut. (Pictured below- the brown). A stylist who’s no longer @ the studio applied beautiful extensions. I found out later that month I am pregnant. Between the morning sickness and hormones etc I was ready to get the extensions out and had about 3.5 - 4 inches of new growth. I booked the appointment for the removal and about a week before the appointment I got a call asking me to see another stylist and there was some confusion as a client because then the original stylist reached out to see if I still wanted to see her (she did lovely I did ) but then canceled again. I have my anniversary and pregnancy announcement photos coming up in a week and couldn’t put off the removal. I went in today to see another stylist with the inspiration photos below originally being quoted 650.

Not only is my hair still mostly brown but the cut is shorter and more choppy with more layers in it then when I came in 5 months ago. I was also charged 815 :). Almost 4000 $ on hair in less than 6 months and it brakes my heart because if it’s not something that was obtainable it would have been nice to be told that. I was super flexible and open to conversation or ideas but was told it was doable. 1/2 of my hair was being washed while bleach was still being added with foils and I did / do not have a lot of hair. My hair is very thin / fine.

My hair when I got home was all hard and still had shampoo in it when I showered (for real lathered and had suds ) and the cut needs a full blowout and to be straighten to even be the quality shown below. It’s also super uneven and for 800 I should really love it or at least feel confident in either the cut or color.

I cried in the bathroom and on the way home. And I just have to live with it. You live and you learn I guess it’s my fault. I don’t know how I could have been a better client or what questions I should have been asking…...

I came in to have some extensions removed that I had done elsewhere. I came in two separate times to have them removed, the second time I came in, I had no issues. The first time the lady cut about 3 inches of my actual hair off. I had indicated where I wanted the extensions, which was much longer than where she cut them.

When I realized how much of my actual hair had been cut I went to the bathroom and cried (I’ve had a rough time growing it back out). I looked at a photo of my hair before the extensions just to make sure I wasn’t over exaggerating. When I came out I couldn’t hide that I was crying, so I told her what happened. She repeated over and over that she didn’t think she cut my actual hair. She later pointed to my top layers and blamed it on me having a layered haircut. I didn’t press it further and said it was fine, that I probably needed to trim the ends anyway. I was confused because I felt like I was being very nicely gaslit.

I was also charged more than I was told it would be over the phone. I think it was only around $100 more, but worth mentioning for the reviews sake. The second time I came in it was the price I was originally quoted, which was with a different person. Also, the first person was pretty rough and ripped my hair a lot, which didn’t happen the second time.

I removed the last of the extensions myself and now have choppy uneven ends due to the cut.

To be clear, except for the lady who cut my hair off - I had a great experience there. Everyone...

Avoid this place at all costs — I started my extension journey here in April of 2024 looking for extra volume and color to my hair. What I left with was broken, damaged, THIN hair after a year of extensions with Ricky. Another issue I had with him was being too scissor happy and chopping hair that costed 2500 dollars to pieces, making it extremely uneven and damaged looking as shown in the photos attached. When I raised my concern about the cut, I was given an off colored comment about my physical appearance and how the shape of the hair is better suited for my “broad shoulders.” When I raised my hair thinning concerns to him, he chose to “gaslight” me, which is a form of manipulation that makes you second guess yourself. I was told, “Well, as we age, we do tend to lose hair, our hormones change, and perhaps even your diet.” I’m 29 years old and it’s obvious from the photos my hair literally has been breaking off and has nothing to do with hair loss. Every single time I’ve taken my extensions out, I’ve had to chop inches of my hair off and that doesn’t even solve the problem because my hair is actually thinning out from being pulled out. Do not listen to salons when they tell you that extensions don’t damage your hair, ALL extensions damage your hair, but it’s the stylist’s skill set and mastery that determines how minimalistic or severe the damage will be. If you ever raise a concern and speak up for yourself to Ricky, he’ll do what he did to me and just kick you out of the salon.

I don't expect perfection, I just want a choice but Brenna lied and then tried to gaslight me. Brenna did a great job bleaching my hair evenly. The issue is, I checked-in during bleaching and toning - she said I would be "dark ashy blonde".... When she turned me around for the big reveal, I was confused why it was beige and strawberry blonde? I texted the business when I got home. The next day we spoke on the phone at 11:30am, she said I had color on the ends from 1.5+ years ago...if so, then that still doesn't explain why was the top half of my hair was warm? She said the only way to get even color is to cut my colored part off OR bleach it again but she said it would ruin my hair to bleach so quickly. The thing is, I wasn't even upset the color was "uneven", I didn't notice it much. I told her I wanted the warmth out, even if it meant going dark bc I didn't want to go blond anymore. I remembered Brenna asking Ricky what she should do multiple times so, I asked her out of frustration - if she knew what she was doing. She said she didn't like how I was talking to her after spending 5 hours on my hair. She said she'll have Ricky call during his break. It's 1am and the only response I got so far was in re a charge. And just to be clear, I never asked and never wanted a refund or discount. I just wanted a time slot to get my hair fixed. I got charged for a balyage when we did an all over bleach. So dont book with Brenna, just wait for Ricky.
