First, I must admit - I LOVE smoothies! Emerald City Smoothie (ECS) is by far my favorite spot for one, and I frequent several locations throughout the county each week to enjoy them. I specifically picked the Tukwila location (even though there was a closer one to us) because they consistently make great smoothies and their staff are very friendly.
We had a staff meeting of 20+ people to serve breakfast to. We wanted to create a 'make your own acai bowl' bar for staff. Martin (ECS) was fast to respond, extremely accommodating, and very helpful throughout the entire process. He hooked us up with the bowl bases in larger containers for easier transporting, their yummy granola, and all the bowls and silverware needed. We bought all the fruits for the toppings. Martin helped to build a package that met our food needs as well as our smaller budget.
Upon pick up, the bowls were all ready and packed up at the agreed upon pick up time, the consistency was perfect, and the flavor was great! The team thoroughly enjoyed the bowls. We have several ECS fans on our team and they were so happy to be able to enjoy the real deal for an acai bowl. We not only impressed them but also made new fans out of those who hadn't had an acai bowl or ECS. Thank you for helping to bring more variety and creativity to our staff meeting menu. We will...
Read moreI went in hoping to redeem my Groupon back in July 19. I had bought a 3 pack that had a value of $5 each - so the voucher had a value of $15 in total. There was a miscommunication on my part about the vouchers as I couldn't figure out how to redeem one at a time. Because of this, the (female) employee didn't take the time to help me and said that it would take a while to contact the manager for assistance. What left me frustrated altogether, was when she also said that the company is trying to discontinue any Groupons. And so I felt like because I was using one, her mindset was to not even deal with it. I walked out and cancelled the vouchers on Groupon. This location was not the friendliest and was not...
Read moreMy mom (71 years old) lives with me and has been cooped up in the house for months with corvid-19 restrictions effecting all of us in washington. She told me she wanted something that reminded her normal and asked me if emerald city smoothie was open? Sure enough it was! I drove down, I called in an order, as I went in to pay and pick up (I am wearing a respirator) I see that the employees have no facemasks of any kind and no gloves, pouring smoothies out only inches from there face. Real bummer, I used to love this place being close to home. But not a single precaution being taken, including having multiple people in the store. Sad day....
