I was here on march 4th with my sister who visited seattle from South Korea. This place is well known and popular among korean tourists. My sister wanted to go this place since she saw so many posts on instagram. As we walked in, there was nobody at the host desk. There were not many people in the restaurant since it was like 3-4pm afternoon. We waited for little bit, and the host came up to the desk without any greeting and asked how many people. (Seriously with no eye contact) And i said 2. He escorted us to the very corner of restaurant where there were literally nobody around. If you walk into this restaurant, there are indoor and outdoor seatings. There were some people at outdoor seatings but it wasnt full at all. Also, all other indoor seating people were sitting at least near the window. Where we sat was completely secluded from other people, and it was so dark since it was far away from the windows. I felt like it was definitely racism and discrimination since we were the only asians there. however, i tried not to care since this is the restaurant that my sister wanted to come, and i didnt want to give her a bad impression before we even eat. But, i saw a group who walked in right after us(white) were escorted straight to outdoor seatings. As soon as i saw that , i got up and walked to the host desk and asked him if we can be moved to the outdoor seatings. He looked at me with no expressions and told me that he needs to check with the server. As soon as i came back to my seat, our server came up to us with such a bad attitude asking us if we are ready to order in such a hurry. (This server didnt even come to our table 10 mins after we sat and showed up right after i spoke with that host regarding to move the table). I told her that we are waiting for our seats to be moved and she said okay and left. Few mins later, the host came up to us and said that he will move our seats but we have to carry the menu. I was so upset about his attitude and demeanor but i didnt say anything because at least he moved us. We got moved and ordered food. The food was pretty pricey however, we enjoyed it. But the service here is absolutely trash. I was so upset about the way we were treated. I am a travel nurse and i travel all over the country and ive never felt this kind of racism before. I just read all other reviews before i write this , and there are many reviews with same complaints(they wrote in korean so, please use translator to read to see how they were treated in this restaurant. I felt extremely humiliated and i couldn't believe that we were being treated like this. I would never recommend this place to anybody.

they surcharge you with 4% gratitude already. we didnt know cause we were not informed. They use tap device to pay right at the table so you might not notice this unless you ask for a receipt after you pay...

My Relationship With the Crab Pot: It's Complicated (But Mostly With Seafood and Hammers)

Look, I'm not going to lie. Walking into the Crab Pot is like willingly entering a seafood-themed Frat party. It's loud, it's messy, and there's a distinct possibility you'll end up wearing more crab juice than actual clothes. But that's the beauty of it!

Forget your dainty forks and delicate napkins. This is primal eating at its finest. They dump a steaming pile of crustaceans, potatoes, corn, and clams RIGHT ONTO YOUR TABLE. No plates, no utensils (unless you count the flimsy bib and the mighty CRAB HAMMER). You're essentially encouraged to regress back to a state of joyful, messy infancy where the only goal is to annihilate delicious seafood.

I went with a group of friends, and let's just say our table looked like a crime scene orchestrated by a hungry cephalopod. Shells were flying, butter was dripping, and laughter was echoing. We were a band of merry marauders, united by our shared love of seafood and the cathartic release of smashing things with a hammer.

The food itself? Let's be honest, it's not Michelin-star quality. But it's fresh, it's plentiful, and it's cooked well. Plus, the pure, unadulterated joy of cracking open a crab leg with your bare hands just elevates the whole experience.

For the landlubbers, they also make a mean hamburger or chicken sammich

Pros:

• Crab Hammer Therapy: Forget your therapist, just walk in or book a reservation at the Crab Pot and whack some crabs. It's cheaper and tastier.

• Bib Couture: Embrace the absurdity of the bib. It's your shield against the impending seafood splatter. Wear it with pride!

• Bonding Experience: Nothing brings people closer together than shared trauma...I mean, shared enjoyment of a massive seafood dump.

• Photo Ops Galore: You KNOW you're gonna take a picture covered in crab juice. Don't deny it. Embrace the chaos!

Cons:

• Dry Cleaning Bills: Invest in some Shout stain remover. You'll need it.

• The Smell: You will smell like the sea for at least 24 hours afterwards. Consider it a badge of honor.

• Sudden Hammer-Related Injuries: Use caution! You're wielding a weapon! Aim for the crab, not your friend's finger. • You leave the hammer behind when you go. Why don't they sell them??

Overall:

The Crab Pot is not for the faint of heart, nor is it for those who prefer a quiet, elegant dining experience. But if you're looking for a fun, messy, and memorable meal that will leave you giggling, feeling full (and slightly sticky), then grab a hammer and dive in! Just be prepared to unleash your inner barbarian. You won't regret it. (Maybe. Unless you accidentally hammer your own...

I came here with my family of 4. Food was mediocre, but that was to be expected since it happens everytime. The problem was our bill.

After our meal, we asked to charge $85 to my card, and the remaining balance of $138 to my parent’s card. Server indicated it would not be a problem.

She came back and said she charged the entire amount to my card ($223). It wasn’t a problem because I knew it could be reversed. However, she came back and asked what she was charging to which card. Again, no problem, but weird she needed clarification. When she left again to charge the cards, another $308 charge came in, which meant, she not only charged my debit card $223, they added an additional charge of $223 + $85 (total charged now was $531). She came back and tried to explain the second accident, but we asked for a manager; simultaneously, an additional $85 was charged to my card (total now is $616).

The manager came in hostile and rude. He tried to explain that it will all be reversed at the end of the day, meanwhile I was only given one receipt that showed me the $223 charge, and I could clearly see that $223 was reversed per my real- time bank account alerts. I explained I wanted to see the receipt for all the charges and the reversals for all the accidental charges. The manager stated he can’t do that and wanted us to leave. The experience was unprofessional. The waitress and the manager never apologized.

Before I would leave, I insisted I needed to see a receipt for all the charges and reversals but the manager told me he already deleted the charges (yet they were pending and not reversed per my bank). In short, I never saw any receipts for the accidental charges aside from the first $223 charge. The manager left us for about 20 minutes where he said he would go into “the back” and check some system to make sure the charges were not “actually charged”.

He did this reluctantly, and told me to call his manager if the charges weren’t reversed by tomorrow. He also told me that I was “aggressive”. I never received receipts for the accidental charges, and the only reason I knew about them is because of my real-time alerts from my bank. Awful experience. I will never take my family...
