The tour is 1 hour long. The boat is very comfortable. There is seating on the front for the best view. A covered open air patio area with a full bar. Also with great views just not as exposed as the front. Lastly an enclosed seating / bar area on the lower deck. There is also a full bar and there is an AC. Windows on both sides so the view is not lost.
The ride itself this day was pleasant, virtually zero wind and calm sea. The tour follows the coast line of the harbor past the Stadiums and docks a slow gradual ride. Then up the opposite side toward with a spectacular view of the open landscape and mouth the channel. The final approach toward the docking area is past the Olympic Park and World Fair park including really unique views of the Space Needle. Then past the Market place and dock.
Drinks are reasonable and good, served in a keepsake cup. Service is friendly and there are 2 restrooms located at the rear of the boat.
Information is narrated through out the tour on Seattle, history of the Salish indigenous tribes of the area and random fun facts.
We went at mid day. So not sunset view. The tour was fun. The boat ride was excellent and the drinks refreshing. Good time. Maybe not a must do, but easily a Should do. Just for the...
Read morePurchased tickets a month in advance for the 4:30pm cruise, received an email right after saying to arrive 15 minutes before. Day of the cruise, it was raining and foggy, we were constantly checking our email to see if they are canceling or not, we DIDN’T receive a notification. We get to the gate 15 minutes before and there is no attendant, we can see there are two workers on the boat, they are unloading it and tying the boat to the dock, and then… the lights go black. I look at the time, 4:29. I call the company and they say they won’t do a refund, we can use the tickets sometime in the next year, but I wanted a refund. We went to the booth and talked to the manager, she ended up giving us a refund, but NO apology about the cancelation. We ended up doing the Argosy boat tour the next day, and it was very nice and organized! — I totally understand having to cancel a boat tour in Seattle due to weather, it’s not the company’s fault, it happens. BUT the part I have a problem with is that they couldn’t even notify us of the cancelation...
Read moreI'm giving this two stars because the employees were nice, and the boat seems new and clean. I guess the other upside is that it's a little cheaper then Argosy. But outside of that I feel like it's a little misleading and not worth the money. It is not an hour long tour. I think it was a little less then 45 minutes and it's also not a person on the boat talking. It's just a recording, which is fine I guess it just seems cheap. The other misleading thing is that the boat is painted and decorated like a Native American canoe. Which to a reasonable person would leave the impression that it's owned by a tribe or native American and that the tour is maybe centered around their culture and heritage. The tour recording barely mentions Native Americans and according the employees we asked it's not owned by a tribe but by the same people that own the wheel and dock that it...
