I normally go to urgent care and really enjoy the staff and doctors. My children and I feel welcomed and taken care of when we go in there. Today I was very disappointed. I felt very disrespected. I had made an appointment online for my three children at 10:30 am. I got there right on time, filled out my paperwork and waited my turn. Two people who walked in after us who didnât have appointments ended up going in before us. The only nurse on staff kept slamming doors and had to clean the waiting room bathroom. She went in there to mop up, didnât use disinfectant or anything. She put up a small sign that said âcaution, floors might be wetâ. At that point I was second guessing our visit but I waited patiently though my kids were getting antsy. Finally around 11:15am they called us back into the room where we waited 35 mins. At 11:50 They asked us to leave the room because they had to perform a procedure on someone else. When they finally called us back for the second time they left us in the room until 12:40. Finally I was sick of waiting with no explanation or even an update. I tried looking for staff and not one person was in the back. I was so fed up that I finally said loudly that we had been waiting for over 2hrs and all of the sudden the doctor appeared out of no where. No âIâm sorry for the waitâ, just came in laughing. Not sure what was so funny about making people wait for so long. The doctor then proceeded to continue laughing throughout the whole checkup. Eventually around 1:10pm we were told to wait for our exit papers in the waiting room. My husband took the kids to the car and I waited another 25 mins before I finally asked the lady at the front desk what was taking the doctor so long. I am not sure what was going on, and why I made an appointment so that my kids to sit and be miserable for 2 1/2hrs. I donât understand why doctor Robert Murphy was so careless with us and why the time just seemed to slip by with these people. I have never had to wait this long unless I walked in on a busy day, and never have I felt so disrespected. I tried to be as patient as I could and I held my cool with the staff. They knew I was irritated but I never was rude or cursed or called them names. Sad that one doctor has to ruin such a good place. I would recommend this place any day but if Dr. Robert Murphy is working, I would avoid the urgent care...
Read moreWORST TERRIBLE HEALTH CARE EXPERIENCE EVER. I am taking my time to write this review to let people know what to expect.
DON'T GO FOR COVID TEST HERE: We went for a Covid test for international travels and we need to get the result on time (2-3 days). It's been 8 DAYS, and we still HAVE NOT got the result, and they NEVER ANSWER the phone (CHECK THIS before you go; they will never answer the phone for any after-visit care). I gave them my phone and email for the result. Likely they probably forgot - the lab result comes pretty quick these days. They would still get the money for the test. We ended up doing another urgent Covid test in another clinic. What a huge waste of money and most importantly our time...
VERY LONG WAIT TIME: Although we made a reservation ahead, it took us 2 hours just to get tested for 30 sec and then wait another 20 min for a doctor to come for another minute of brief (unnecessary) chat. They don't really provide "URGENT" care.
VERY POOR FACILITY; NO SAFETY: The room was extremely small, poorly ventilated, and shabby. You will get Covid if anyone with Covid has visited that clinic. The female receptionist there was not even wearing a MASK PROPERLY although there were a lot of elderly people who came for a Covid test.
RUDE SERVICE: The young female receptionist was extraordinarily rude. She looked already annoyed when I wanted to ask a single question (simple easy question about the check-in process). Plus, she also gave me inconsistent answer about how I will get the Covid result. She said they don't email, but after the doctor said they do, she quickly changed her answer saying that their email server is being too slow (we live in the year 2021, right?). Clearly, she just doesn't want to do her job. Other patients in that room also seemed to notice her rudeness. Her attitude was constantly bad. The male doctor we saw that day was fine.
My personal opinion: If this clinic doesn't change their receptionist, I am sure a lot of people will constantly get bad experiences from this clinic. One terrible employee can ruin the whole thing - no matter what, that type of person can never do well in...
Read moreI have to share the most horrific experience I had while going to NextCare in Sedona pertaining to Dr. Carly Thomas. I have been a loyal patient of NextCare for years, especially when it comes to treating my frequent UTIs. However, my recent encounter with Dr. Thomas has left me utterly disappointed and frustrated.
Upon entering the room, Dr. Thomas immediately dismissed my symptoms and insisted that I did not have a UTI, despite my clear history of UTIs and the urgency to prevent kidney infections. Instead of listening to my concerns, she rudely suggested that I might have an STD, which was completely unfounded given my relationship status and medical history.
Not only did Dr. Thomas order unnecessary tests without my consent, but I also received an outrageous bill for these tests that I did not need. To make matters worse, two days later, I found myself in excruciating pain and urinating uncontrollably, only to be told by another NextCare doctor in Phoenix that I did indeed have a UTI.
Dr. Thomas's incompetence and lack of empathy have not only caused me unnecessary physical pain but also financial burden with a bill that I cannot afford to pay. It is unacceptable that someone like her is allowed to practice at an urgent care facility like NextCare. I was simply seeking proper treatment for a condition I am familiar with, not unnecessary tests and misdiagnoses.
I urge NextCare to reconsider having Dr. Carly Thomas on their staff and to ensure that patients receive the quality care they deserve. My experience with Dr. Thomas has left me questioning the integrity and competence of NextCare, and I sincerely hope that they take appropriate action to prevent such incidents...
