Perched at the near top of a steep private drive, this property absolutely delivers what it promises. Not only are the views from the home of the wooded Uptown Sedona neighborhood bowl and surrounding red rocks as spectacular as the property's “Majestic Sedona” name implies, but the house itself leaves little to be desired. It is an incredibly well-maintained, designed, appointed, updated, tasteful, and livable home in nearly every way. We left saying “if this place were ever for sale, we’d be living here. It has absolutely everything we’d want.” We found the house immaculately clean and felt quite safe from the outset in these odd Covid times. The cleaning service clearly has the property change-over down to a science and even left a bottle of bleach solution for us to use during our stay. As for comfort, the common spaces offer plenty of room to relax both indoors and out. The kitchen and dining area was plenty large for us to cook full meals and eat in nearly every night. The main sitting/TV area, while maybe a little tight for groups of 5 or more, was perfect for the three of us. Bigger groups would probably use the downstairs room more comfortably. We spent most of our time at the house out on the main deck. In the sleeping quarters, there was nothing more for which we would ask. The bedrooms are bright, large, and comfortable; the linens clean, crisp, and of high quality; the rooms are spacious and quiet; there is plenty of drawer space for clothing and personal effects; the closets are ample; and best of all, the bedrooms are split from one another - with the master perched high atop the house while the second, smaller bedroom sits on the bottom level (separated by the main level). The master affords the best views from inside the house with 270-degree views, a small seating area for TV viewing, and a master bath with a water closet, relaxing, deep soaker tub, and separate shower. Bedroom 2 is adjacent to the aforementioned library/study/tv room that features a sitting area with comfy leather chairs and pull-out sofa bed we didn’t utilize. Both this lower living area room and bedroom have sliders that lead out to the lower deck (thoughtfully equipped with a well-sized and therapeutic, jetted hot tub). This allows access to the spa without compromising the privacy of those staying in the bedroom. We never drew the curtains so we could wake to the stunning vistas each morning, but if we had desired darkness, the window coverings would have allowed us to no doubt sleep in. We were initially concerned that the Uptown location would pose a problem due to traffic, but the roundabouts and traffic patterns made entering and exiting the neighborhood a non issue. We were able to get up the canyon, down to West Sedona, and out SR 179 within minutes. We were able to walk to the main 89A tourist/shopping strip and everything else (including close-by Jordan Trail, Airport vortex, and Talaquepaque) are just a short car ride away. Communication with Rob was easy and his responses timely. Any suggestions or complaints we might have would be nit-picking at this point and not worth a mention (and, trust me, we utilized nearly every amenity and space the home has to offer). We won’t hesitate to stay...
Read moreFantastic Experience at Sedona Vista! We rented the house from June 30 to July 7, 2018. Our family included 4 adults and 3 children ages 8, 10 and 13. The 4 bedrooms were well appointed with bedding and spacious on two floors. The entire house was bright, wonderfully furnished, and immaculately clean. The large windows offered amazing views of the red rock mountains, and since we faced west, we had lovely sunsets. The air conditioning worked silently and efficiently. An added feature was motorized shades in the large living-room that allowed us to screen the bright sun when needed.
The kitchen was large and fully equipped and functional with a large fridge/freezer, double ovens, a gas stove and microwave oven. There was a full spice rack -- and since every renter leaves some staples behind, the cupboard contained an accumulation of condiments that came in very handy. We greatly enjoyed eating at the long dining table inside and on the large patio outside.
Speaking of outside, the pool was terrific as was the hot tub. What a relief to have them after our morning hikes. We selected to pay extra for heating the pool and hot tub, and it proved a wise decision because even though the air temperature was in the 90's, it was refreshing to enter a pool at 86 degrees. The pool area was also spacious with several lounges, a table with chairs in the shade and a fire pit, which our grandsons used to roast their s'mores.
We shopped at the well-stocked Safeway about 7 minutes away and ate most of our meals at home. We did have one dinner out at Hiro Sushi, which was fabulous.
Over all, Sedona Vista was a delight and Rob, the owner, wonderfully responsive and accommodating when we had minor questions once we arrived. He was easily reachable by phone or email even on the weekend.
I highly recommend Sedona Vista and would readily...
Read moreFantastic vacation at Scenic Sedona! We went October 19-26, 2019. The views alone are worth renting this property. Then when you add in the heated pool, the spa, and all the spacious rooms, common areas and amenities - Scenic Sedona was perfect for our friends vacation. We had 3 couples and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location of Scenic Sedona was perfect for everything we wanted to do.
We took a 1 hr trolley ride, Tour A, with Sedona Trolley out to Fay and Boynton Canyons. It was a great way to get some background information about Sedona and learn our way around. The guys played golf at Oakcreek Country Club, and the girls enjoyed massages at Namti Spa (highly recommend 90 min hot stone massage with Mike!). The guys went ATV'ing for a half day, renting from Sedona ATV Rental. Great place to rent - they hook you up with everything you need including GPS. (Don't forget bandanas or stop at ACE hardware to get masks like we did.) We did a full day Grand Canyon tour with Grand Canyon Journeys. Excellent tour - check them out before you book with anyone else. Chris (the owner) is amazing and he takes care of you the whole day with tons of information and tips. We did some short hikes during the week, just to round things out.
Because Scenic Sedona had such good amenities, we took advantage of cooking breakfast each morning at the house and also using the grill for a couple of dinners. We also took advantage of the washer & dryer during the week, especially after ATV'ing.
I would totally rent Scenic Sedona again and would recommend it to others. It's located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a residential area, but it was quiet and relaxing and very convenient to everything.
Thanks Rob at Red Sedona Management for...
