We just left Canyon Mesa Tanglewood-S038 after our 1st stay there. The last 3 years, we have stayed at a different property with Foothills and were very disappointed by the 3rd year. This new property, however, was fantastic. There is no carpet here, which makes it easy to keep clean. The place was very thoughtfully supplied; from lights on both sides of both beds for those of us who like to read in bed, to surge protectors on nightstands for all the things we needed to plug in, and plenty of hangers in the ample closet space. The kitchen had everything we needed: lots of glasses and silverware, a blender, a juicer, even hummingbird feeders for all the voracious little buggers we were feeding! (I confess that I ended up using the feeder I brought, as it has a bee guard, and by the second day with the feeders provided the bees were keeping the hummers away.) This place is not super fancy, but it's clean, well supplied and extremely comfortable.
The location is also great. We always stay in The Village of Oak Creek, as my husband looks forward to golfing as much as possible and that's where the golf courses are. And it's a great place for hiking. It's near most of the iconic rock formations (Bell, Courthouse Butte, Cathedral) and you can hike as much as you'd like, from short and/or easy hikes to much lengthier and more challenging. And I love wildlife. We saw javelinas right off our patio one day, and our neighbor saw a bobcat sitting by her patio two days in a row. (So sorry we missed that!) We looked forward to having a cocktail each night on the patio as we watched the hummingbirds at the feeder and the bats over hole #7, and listened for the coyotes.
Can't really say about all of Foothills Management properties, as our experience has only been with two, but I do highly recommend this one. The few times I've had to call them for assistance while we were at a property, they've been really responsive. I was disappointed, though, that they didn't seem to follow up with problems I shared with the last property...
Read moreEverything that was stated in the previous reviews is what we had also experienced. I would recommend this place to my friends. We really enjoyed sitting outside early in the morning, listening to the birds chirping while having our coffee. The backyard is very green with lots of plants and shade with beautiful views of the red rocks. The neighborhood is very quiet and walkable. It was easy to find everything in the kitchen because all the cabinets were labeled. There’s an information booklet by the front door, which was very useful. There is info about the wildlife in the area, especially javelinas which we encountered while walking our dogs early in the morning. We spotted a large group with babies a few blocks ahead of us on our way back to the rental. We stopped and made sure that they were all cleared out before proceeding back. So if you have dogs be vigilant. We live in Scottsdale so we’re used to being aware while we walk our pets. To me, the best part of the rental is the really nice neighborhood with...

Check-in was a breeze, and their thoughtful guidance made our trip even better.
