We visited Adventure Park at Five Oaks on Wednesday, April 16th (ziplining) and Saturday, April 19th (horseback riding), and wow, what an experience! Originally, we planned to do both activities on Wednesday, but thanks to a bit of mud, the weight limit for horseback riding got reduced, and we needed to reschedule. The staff made it super easy, though, and we appreciated how friendly and accommodating they were.
For ziplining, Aiden and Sky were our guides, and they were both fantastic. Aiden had us laughing from the start, making sure we felt totally at ease, while Sky was always ready with help whenever we needed it. The zipline course had 8 runs, with the last one being a thrilling third of a mile long! It was incredible… though I may have gotten a little too excited on the 4th line and ended up going backward without lifting my feet high enough (oops). In true cartoon fashion, my feet hit the platform, and my shoes took flight. My heel took a hard hit and started to bruise, but Aiden was amazing, offering to give me a ride across the 5th zipline so I could be taken back to base. I decided to brave the 5th line solo—face forward to ensure no more surprises—and the staff made sure I was well taken care of once I was back at base. Meanwhile, the rest of the group (my husband, our 14 year old son, and another father and daughter that were assigned to our group) had an absolute blast and some awesome photos were taken by the staff! The photos were very reasonably priced, so we happily grabbed them all to remember the fun.
Saturday’s horseback riding was another highlight. My husband was a little nervous, but the staff put us at ease right away. The ramp to help us mount and dismount the horses? Absolute genius. It made the whole experience so much smoother and more enjoyable for beginners like us. Jon, our guide, was fantastic, and we couldn’t have asked for a better ride. The only small suggestion I’d have is maybe having another staff member at the back of the group to help with the discussion—it was a bit hard to hear from the back, but that was a minor thing. As for the photos, we were all prepped and smiling as we rode up, but the photographer captured us after we passed, so the shots were a little less posed than expected. But no biggie—the photos were so affordable that we still bought a few!
And let’s not forget the real stars of the show—three adorable cats wandering around the park. They made the wait even more fun and were a delightful bonus!
All in all, Adventure Park at Five Oaks delivered an amazing experience. From the ziplining thrills to the peaceful horseback ride, everything was top-notch, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for adventure in...
Read moreI am SO DISAPPOINTED with the management at this company. My family went to this adventure park for zip lining and horse back riding. We did the zip lining first - our guides Nathaniel and Carol were awesome. I purchased the whole picture packet for $33.00 including tax for the zip lining, then, one hour later we did the horseback riding and our guide Mathew was great. We went in to purchase the pictures again and decided to purchase the whole package like before; the computer said it was $33.00 including tax (same as before) but when I went to the cashier to pay for it, they told me the pictures had gone up and that they were now $40.00 plus tax. The price change was not posted anywhere and was not reflected on the computer; after a long conversation about the new price not being posted and requesting to pay the price given to me by the computer, I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the manager - Brooklyn. I asked to speak with the owner or anyone higher than her and after she spoke with someone else, she told me that she was the only person I could speak with because it was the other lady’s day off. When I asked for a number to call to speak with someone else she flat out told me no. She told me that the computer wasn’t updated yet but that I still needed to pay the higher price; when I asked why there wasn’t a sign posted she told me that she didn’t need to have the sign posted because she was telling me the new price verbally and I had to accept that or just not buy the pictures.
My family and I love the guides on both the zip lining and the horseback riding, but this experience with Brooklyn made me never want to visit this company again. They changed the price for the pictures within the hour that we had between the two activities, didn’t post any signage, refused to honor the posted price on the computer, and, more importantly, the manager was rude and condescending throughout this entire process and refused to honor the price I just paid an hour ago. As fun as the zip lining and horseback riding were, I don’t recommend going here; I recommend going somewhere with actual customer service and good management. There are a lot of good options in the area and this isn’t...
Read moreI bought the deal with both the zip-lining and horseback riding. The zip-lining was super fun and very enjoyable. It was my first time going and the tour guides were awesome. Therefore, I was super excited for the horseback riding session. I have not ridden a horse for so long therefore I was not really that experienced when I went this August 2021. One of the guys that worked at the farm gave me a horse which he called lazy that didn't move much. I was told that I would be fine, but I was nervous. The tour guide named Rob, who took my group for the tour knew about the horse and still let me be all the way in the back of the line, which made the experience worse for me. During the tour the horse randomly stopped and it would not move no matter how much I tried to get it to move. Eventually after being alone for about almost 5 min the tour guide came back since someone from the line noticed and informed him, or else I'm 100% I would be stuck there since he did not seem to care at all. He was rude and condescending and was telling me to whip the horse hard in order to get it to move. I did it lightly and said I don't feel comfortable doing it so hard. He looked at me in a rude matter and yelled that I have to do it. He was acting like he was doing me a favor when he was just doing his job. The horses did not seem to be treated right, they were treated in an aggressive manner, it just didn't seem right. The horse stopped randomly several times during the tour, which stressed me out and sucked out the enjoyment from the tour. To be honest, people pay for the tour they should not feel like they are stressed and constantly left behind. Along with that experience, the people in the back with me could not hear anything he was saying for the instructions, and we had to keep asking what was being said. It was obvious at this point we could not hear anything, but he did not seem to care. I was shocked at how unprofessional Rob was. I will not come back here in the future and will inform others about this extremely uncomfortable experience since no paying customer deserves...
