As a local, this was my first time visiting and I am impressed! Glad to see a new competitor to Texas Roadhouse. Being a newly established restaurant, you can expect some flaws, but not many! DON’T LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS (THOSE PEOPLE ARE CRAZY)!
My first impressions were on how confined the space was, as it was very crowded at times; but for me, that’s not a big deal. My party of 5 (who checked in at around 7:15) waited for about 45 minutes, so its crowdedness did not surprise me.
Looking at the menu, I love the various type of Texas dishes offered. There is so much food to choose from, a lot that I had to consider! As a starter, we ordered the “Texas Tango” - which we all fought over for! The chips were nice and soft and each dip (Queso, salsa, & guacamole) tasted very good and authentic (especially the guac!).
As my main meal, I ordered the same as I do at Texas Roadhouse (to compare): steak, a loaded baked potato, & a side salad. My steak in particular (7oz. Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon) was not cooked to my likings, as I ordered it Medium, in which I received my steak more on the Rare side. Whether the waitress was wrong or the kitchen messed up, I’m not sure—but after getting it fixed, it turned out to be great! I understand that all of the staff is still new, so that’s not a big deal for me anyway. Regardless, compared to Texas Roadhouse—it’s a tossup for me! Roadhouse has a filet for a lower price that is just as good (~$8 difference). However, I do like the loaded baked potato better at Fort Worth Kitchen, as it was stuffed excessively with toppings (how I like it!). Between the salads, I do prefer the shredded cheese that Roadhouse uses compared to Fort Worth Kitchen’s (different take on) cheese: cotija cheese. Overall though, both are great options and I recommend both!
Trying other dishes ordered within my party, each tasted very authentic… almost like we were dining right in Fort Worth! The chicken tacos were outstanding, as well as the carne asada tacos… both are great choices that are worth considering!
Altogether, Fort Worth Kitchen is a restaurant definitely worth considering when in the area. Whether a local or tourist, you will not be disappointed!

⭐ Fort Worth Steakhouse – Sevierville, TN Rating: 1 out of 10, and that’s only because 0 isn’t an option.
We came in hungry and hopeful. We left confused and emotionally damaged.
First up: The Texas Street Corn. I was excited. I love good street corn. I ordered it thinking it’d be roasted golden, kissed with chili powder and lime, maybe with a little cotija. What I got instead was three ears of sadness. Smothered—and I mean drowned—in what I can only describe as expired mayonnaise with a sprinkle of paprika and a couple of lime wedges thrown on the plate for moral support. The corn itself? Tougher than a burnt Bridgestone tire. Couldn’t even taste the corn through the wall of mayo. $8.99 for that mess? I should’ve asked the waitress to just slap me and keep the corn.
Then came the main event: A 10-ounce sirloin, medium. Now, in Fort Worth, that would’ve come out sizzling—juicy, flavorful, and ready to dance across your taste buds like the Fourth of July. But in Sevierville? I got a slab of burnt regret. This steak was so dry I’m convinced the cook is moonlighting at Budget Rental Cars, specializing in old rubber tires. Juiceless, flavorless, and cooked well past the point of no return. If you threw this steak on a concrete wall, it would’ve bounced back and asked for a lawyer.
Jenny got grilled chicken and a sweet potato. The sweet potato was fine, but the chicken? I’m pretty sure it was roadkill from last week that someone tossed on the grill for nostalgia. Dry, rubbery, and a little haunting.
Look, I’m not trying to be mean. But if you’re going to slap Fort Worth on your name, you better bring the heat. This place is a disgrace to cowboys, cattle, and anyone who’s ever picked up a pair of tongs. If I wanted a meal like this, I’d have cooked it over a candle in a hotel bathroom.
Total score: 1 out of 10. And that’s only because the sweet tea didn’t taste...
Read moreWent with my wife, step son and daughter. The waiter was unbelievably terrible (and I've seen some bad ones in my life). I'm not sure if he was new or just didn't know how to wait tables but we had him show up to our table and take our order. From there, we had our drinks and food brought by someone else. We had to actually ask someone else for refills and for our check.
The food was for me and my wife. I got a steak which I felt was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and my wife got salmon which she enjoyed. My daughter got the shrimp appetizer which was a huge disappointment. You get 4 shrimp that have more ingredients than shrimp (lots of stuffing in a fried coating) which turned out to basically eating the stuffing and not shrimp. Buyer beware on that one as it wasn't worth the money for what you get of you actually want shrimp.
The environment was nice (we ate late supper). The lighting was low tone which I felt made it enjoyable.
Hard to give this place a true rating since the service was some of the worst I've ever seen. It's hard to punish an establishment for 1 server, but 4 other tables around us were complaining and doing what we did... Find someone to help us. This does reflect on the establishment as they should train the person or guide them better on making trips to each table on at least every other trip out to tables. I've been a waiter for 2 years and know how it is when there is low staff or I'm in the "weeds" with keeping up. There were many things that this person could have done that were super simple and would have held our respect. In saying that, I would not go back to this place any time in the near future, as I think the restaurant as a whole needs to improve...
