Just got home from Cruze Farms; all in all it was underwhelming. I’ve been to Cruze farm Pizza barn in Knoxville several times and still am a huge fan. It was surprising to see such a limited menu consisting of entirely ice cream, not to be confused with disappointing. My girlfriend and I ordered three different types of ice cream, a “s’mores”, a strawberry cup and a espresso Sunday. My girlfriend loves graham cracker so i knew it was the only thing on her mind. Our total came to just under $20 for three cups haha. A little steep, but as a consumer I expect to receive what I pay for. Unfortunately after a short wait my girlfriend was disappointed to hear they didn’t have any graham cracker. So we’re suggested to try the rocky top road, and told if we didn’t like it we could have something else. A seemingly fair gesture since we were not given what we paid for. As a true Vol I was expecting it live up to the name of “rocky top”, but my girlfriend and I were both dissatisfied. The espresso Sunday seemed to have much more than a single shot of espresso as it gave both me and my girlfriend the caffeine spins. We are no light weights when it comes to caffeine either. The strawberry cup saved the evening, absolutely no complaints there, it was very good. We tried and to return the rocky top road For something else and the individual seemed to be oblivious to what we’re saying so we just politely left. In summary it Cruze Farms has a solid strawberry ice cream as for everything else it still needs work from customer service, staying stocked with proper inventory, Proper portion control, and maybe should explore a larger menu. I recommend checking out this location in a couple of months as I plan to do. Hopefully by then employees will not be wearing...
Read moreis the building well maintained, yes. Is the staff “dressed up” in soda-jerk attire, yes. But the owners have COMPLETELY taken advantage of the traveling public with their prices. OK, maybe we all eat too much. But my wife and I each got a single scoop, $18 frickin dollars. and the dollops from their machines were tiny. It’s as if the staff have been instructed not to be generous. And the soft-serve is nothing to write home about. Any of us can get the same thing in our home towns. It’s as if they are living off a reputation. My recommendation is send a message to the owners about their greediness and just quit going there. Dollywood served me a 3-scoop sundae that was less expensive than this place. yikes. And no, we are not overweight, we just like to indulge with a simple dessert from what we thought was a great ice cream place. This...
