Sail Tahoe Blue | Sailing Cruises — Attraction in South Lake Tahoe

Sail Tahoe Blue is simply THE BEST ever and never disappoints! It is an awesome way to really see Lake Tahoe and appreciate the beauty of the Lake and shoreline .

As a local I have been out on the Blue many times now and the crew is absolutely amazing. But Captain Justin and First Mate Nelly hold a VERY special place in my heart… as a senior recuperating from a broken shoulder with limited use and strength in my arm, they have always gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my safety at all times helping me on and off the boat. On my recent late afternoon cruise, the wind had kicked up significantly and the dock was rocking rather precariously from the waves when it was time to disembark. Captain Justin told me “Joan, you are staying on the boat because we don’t think it’s safe for you to walk down the dock right now until the wind dies down so we are taking you out again for the Sunset Cruise”. OMG! I was in HEAVEN 💙💙⛵️💙💙.

And even though the wind had calmed down after the Sunset Cruise, Fist Mate Nelly personally escorted me down the dock to the parking lot to catch my shuttle van.

Sailing on the Blue is one of the very few activities I can do given my current medical condition and I absolutely LOVE going out on the Blue - the joy and exhilaration of being out on beautiful Lake Tahoe is made even more special and memorable because of Captain Justin and First Mate Nelly’s kindness and personal attention not just for my particular situation, but to ALL their guests’ needs to ensure that everyone on board has a safe a fantastic experience on the Tahoe Blue.

Sailing with the Tahoe Blue is a MUST DO when in Tahoe …and I can’t WAIT to go out again!!!

We booked a private charter a couple of weeks ago, and the entire experience was beyond amazing.  We had flown out to Lake Tahoe for our wedding and decided to charter the boat as an extra activity over the wedding weekend.

To start: from booking the charter to our actual sail date, they were very prompt with answering all of our questions regarding the boat.

On the day of sailing, we were met at the pier by Julie, who was just an absolute delight of a human being.  What a wonderful way to start our day being greeted by her.

Once on the boat, both Captain Sean and 1st mate Morgan were beyond welcoming.  The hospitality we received went beyond anything I was ever expecting.  Both of these amazing men took upon themselves to serve drinks, take pictures, DJ our music, and socialize with the entire group.  I did not expect to have such amazing hosts, and it truly made the experience an unforgettable one.

Our entire group had a blast.  Thank you guys so much for being a huge highlight of our wedding weekend.  If we ever find ourselves back in Tahoe, we will definitely be booking another...

The best day of our trip to Tahoe!!! Capt Sean was an awesome host on his sailboat! We had perfect weather - slight wind which was great for sailing, and sunny, clear skies! Found Sail Tahoe Blue on Yelp when looking for sailing or boating options on the lake. Sooooo glad we booked! Deck hand Jack made sure everyone's (complimentary) drinks were full and that we were always doing ok, and comfortable on the boat. Both Sean & Jack made sure everyone had a great time - took the time to talk to us all, hear our stories, tell us theirs. Super friendly, super comfortable - amazing excursion for the day!
