I went to EVO twice last week. Both times were disappointing for entirely different reasons. First, I brought my whole family to go bowling and play games. There was an issue with the computers at the desk, which resulted in at least a 10-minute wait to get started while two guys worked on it. They let us start bowling and told us we could pay for everything once we finished, so at the end of our hour, we cleaned up our lane and went to pay. There was no one at the desk. I waited several minutes while different EVO staff walked past us in the lobby, and no one asked if we needed anything or offered to help. Eventually, I went and got the guy working in the snack bar, and he came and rang us up. My family then went to the game section and both of my kids wanted to do a VR rollercoaster. The visors would work intermittently but the screens would go white at random and you had to shake them to get them to start working again. I then went to a giant claw machine in the back and won a ball, but when the claw dropped the ball, the machine gave me an error message and wouldn't let me open the prize door to get the ball out. I had to get help from someone again. This time there were three young people standing at the main counter. Two of them ignored me, and the third said he would have to get a manager. I waited for 10 minutes by the machine before someone showed up. That guy couldn't get the machine open, so he left to "go find another key" and never came back. After about 20 minutes, I went back to the group at the main counter, and they just offered to get me a ball out of the back. I returned on Sunday afternoon for a special showing of Escape From New York. I arrived on time and could see that I was the only person who bought a ticket to the show. The movie preview played normally, but when they finished, the lights came up, and the screen went dark. I waited about 10 minutes to see if the movie would start, and after it was clear something was wrong, I went to find someone. I spoke with a lady, I forgot her name, but her name tag said she was a General Manager. She apologized and went to get help. I returned to my seat, and after about 10 more minutes, the theater went dark again, and the previews restarted. After sitting through all of the previews again, the lights came up, and the screen went dark like before. I again waited about 10 minutes, then went out and found the same General Manager. She apologized again and said they would "start the movie manually" this time. I returned to my seat and waited 20 minutes, with nothing happening, before I decided to give up. I gathered my belongings and left the theater. As I was walking down the hall, a nice guy came up to me and asked if I was the guy in Theater 3 (where the movie was supposed to be showing), and I said yes. He explained something about the projectors updating at the wrong time, which was causing the issue, and that they were still working on it. He said they would refund me for that showing and offered me a free movie pass for a future movie. They also said they were going to continue working on the issue, but by this point, it had almost been an hour, and I had plans after the movie, so I couldn't wait. My overall experience with this EVO location has been disappointing. I visited twice in the same week and had issues with almost every aspect of the place. The only saving grace was the employees I spoke with. With the exception of the young people at the desk, they all seemed genuinely concerned and wanted to help. My kids were disappointed with the malfunctioning games, I was disappointed that I didn't get to see the limited-run movie, and in general, we spent a lot of time just sitting around and waiting for people to help us. I do not plan to return to this location unless I'm required to do so, and if anyone asks, I'll tell them to look for somewhere else to bowl or...

Why cheap theater popcorn? This is a VIP theater, right? In Southlake... It's confusing...
Where did it go wrong?... Look this is a great idea. Super nice VIP dine in theater and finally in Southlake. And bowling, Arcade and more... This review is for the Cinema.
The GOOD Seats are amazing, comfortable and even heated off needed. Great menu option and the food is really good from what I've tried call buttons, lights and easy to get to... That's where it ends
The BAD Service, no bueno... Food comes before drinks and sits forever and gets cold. If you order a refill or something else it might come or might not ever come... If it does come it takes forever!! Some waiters seemed annoyed like we're we bothering them.
The Bill... This is 2022 every dine-in theater takes your card into a mobile system and opens a tab. Then delivers the bill for you to sign after the movie ends... Right? Evo takes your card sometimes away and then brings it back or they bring a bill and you have to get your card out in the middle of the movie and then they come get it, take it off and bring it back... This is so old school and bad service, unsecure, disruptive and overall stupid...
Mocktails everr dine-in theater I've been to in Dallas, Seattle, Washington DC, Mexico even Dubai has nonalcoholic drinks. At EVO it's hit or mis. Sometimes you can get a great one, most of the time they say they can't do it or they are out of it... I expected more. not everyone drinks and more and more people are going nonalcoholic you should have options for them other than just soda/coke...
I'm personally going back to iPic and Movie House and Alamo... The worst thing is being thirsty and it taking 30 mins to get a drink. I was dying in the movie today and ordered water... Never came but they tried to charge me for it... It's killing tips and I tip good.
It's really a shame... I had high expectations.
FYI I've been to 4 movies now to give them a chance. Today was my last...
UPDATE: 5-27-2022 They reached out and offered free movie tickets so I could experience more of the issues... No, we're sorry, no we need to fix this... They don't care. It's really sad because it should be the best VIP...
Read moreI have been coming to EVO since opening in 2022. It has always been a tradition to go and we’ve always had a great time. This was the first time I’ve ever had issues at this location. After being here for 3 hours and having 5, 15 year olds with my friend and I, (both 19) my younger sister was approached by a worker named Janie. She began questioning my sister and asked if she was with her parents, she said she was with her older sister, and the worker replied “Over 18?” “So she has a REAL state ID?” “Take me to her now.” I feel like her tone and the way she treated my sister, who was doing nothing wrong, was disrespectful and she could be more gentle and kind with her words, explaining and not harassing. I understand there is a new policy in place but I think it’s ridiculous to almost target my sister as there was over 12 under age boys roaming around and never once were they questioned for having an adult. Additionally, we WERE following the new protocol as there was 2 adults and you only need 1 to be responsible for 5 children. After my friend showed her ID since mine was in the car, the lady said “IT SAYS 2006” Which we replied “Yes? She’s 19? Born January 12?” Unless her parents lied about her birth and were incapable of math I’m pretty sure she’s 19., which means she’s an adult. She then mentioned the new protocol which we were following and not breaking the rules and said it was plastered everywhere. There was only one sign by the ticket movie area (we were at the games and never crossed there). It was ridiculous the way we were treated after being loyal costumers, genuinely coming weekly every summer and I’m disappointed with the treatment here. I also thought it was weird how they didn’t approach us when we first entered and rather 3 hours in when again, we were not bothering or being disrespectful. On the other hand, Kennedy, the worker at the prizes was very helpful and sweet! Thank...
