My experience with this place indicated that they do not care about people's safety whatsoever based on their actions regarding e-bike safety and wearing masks. I would strongly discourage people from renting e-bikes here, especially families and/or people that are not prepared to have to fix your $100 rental if it breaks down. We rented the full body aqua set for the Narrows and e-bikes from this place and had no problems with the aqua set. However, there was NO care or expertise provided in renting us e-bikes, which were roughly around $100 each with tax. The worker who set us up with e-bikes didn't fit or size the bikes appropriately for us. When my boyfriend asked if they had a bike with a lower seat the worker shrugged said "no" without checking or providing explanation when it was obvious that the bike seat was too high for his 5'8" frame. This meant that my boyfriend rode through the park hunched over the entire 8-9 miles to the end of the park with his waist much higher than the handlebars. They did not provide us any safety plans or supplies in the event that we had a flat tire, or an issue with our gears or chains, which we did as both bikes proved poor quality. After hiking through the Narrows, I came back to find my front tire completely flat. I had no kit to change the tire and there was no cell reception, which is common in most of the park. My boyfriend and I did not have shuttle tickets, and even if we had, the shuttles were all packed and we would likely not have been able to get a seat. It was only due to random act of kindness from a stranger, Anthony from L.A., that my tire tube was glued and patched so I could make it the 9 miles back down to Zion Outfitters. We would have been stranded without Anthony - he saved us! We were also able to adjust our handlebars on our bikes thanks to Anthony so my boyfriend didn't have to continue to hunch over as much when he rode his bike, and I had better riding posture. When we got back down to Zion Outfitters I requested an exchange for my bike. The guy working apologized but didn't offer any discount on our bill, which is excessively high based on the low quality of the bikes and service we received from Zion Outfitters. We continued riding the bikes for another few hours and the bike my boyfriend was on had its chain fall off without any obvious cause as we were riding on smooth, flat ground. Lastly, the 3 times we went to Zion Outfitters (check out, bike exchange & return) only 2 out of 8 employees wore masks. It is VERY clear from the actions of this business that they do not care about your safety. If they had, they would enforce wearing masks, provide a back up safety kit and/or plan in the event that the bike breaks down in an area where there is no cell phone service. They would custom fit bikes per person and provide strategies and instruction for what to do if your bike needs maintenance if they actually cared about people. I cannot imagine if this had happened to us with family and/or children on a hot day with no cell service or shuttle pass....... The actions of the employees indicates that this business does not care about your safety and only wishes to monopolize the business in this area for their own profit. I strongly advise you DO NOT rent e-bikes from this business when in Zion. There are other e-bike rental businesses in the area and I wish we would have gone through...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Zion National Park, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. From the stunning vistas to the incredible service, every aspect of the trip exceeded my expectations. Let's start with the park itself. Zion is nothing short of breathtaking. The sheer scale and diversity of the landscape are astounding, with towering red rock formations, lush canyons, and an array of hiking trails that cater to every skill level. Whether you're looking to conquer Angels Landing or enjoy a more leisurely walk along the Riverside Walk, Zion offers a range of experiences that cater to nature enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. What truly made my visit exceptional, though, was the outstanding service provided by the park staff at Zion Outfitters. Cameron, Harper, and Ken were particularly noteworthy. Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment to enhancing the visitor experience were evident from the moment we arrived. Cameron greeted us with a warm welcome and provided insightful recommendations on must-see spots and hidden gems. Harper went above and beyond with his attention to detail, ensuring we had all the information we needed for a safe and enjoyable visit. Ken's infectious passion for the park was evident (thanks for the turbo recommendation ken 😉) A special mention must be made of the e-bikes. Renting an e-bike was an absolute game-changer. Zion's landscapes are vast and varied, and the e-bikes allowed us to cover significantly more ground than we could have on foot, without feeling exhausted. They were easy to handle, and the added convenience made exploring the park a breeze. We could zip through scenic routes, access remote viewpoints, and still have the energy to fully enjoy each stop along the way. If you’re planning a trip to Zion, I can’t recommend the e-bikes highly enough—they truly are a must-have for an optimal experience. In summary, my time at Zion National Park was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks in no small part to the exceptional staff and the convenience of the e-bikes. Cameron, Harper, and Ken made our visit unforgettable with their professionalism and passion. The e-bikes provided the perfect way to explore the park’s vast beauty efficiently. I’m already looking forward to my next adventure in Zion and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a remarkable...

First problem - I was given mismatched shoes (one was a 4.5 and the other was 3.5) I didn’t catch it until we were ready to board the shuttle. So I had to go all the way back to the store to get a replacement, stand in the line to get back into the park and back in the shuttle line. As a note- it extremely busy day at Zion so the wait to get back into the park and the shuttle was over an hour.

Second problem - 30 minutes into our trek into the narrows my son (10 years old and on the spectrum) complained that his legs were cold. We thought maybe he was just chilled as we rented full body suit for him and he should be dry. Nope. He was so miserable that we cut our trip short for the day. We went back to ZO to return our gear. When we unzipped his suit (that the worker helps us put on him) water came out. We were completely shocked and another patron next to us commented how awful it was and it shouldn’t have allowed any water in. His pants he had under the suit was completely soaked. We felt so bad that he was hiking with a water suit filled with cold water. We were also pissed that his suit failed. The worker there just said - “oh, sorry about that” and took the suit and placed it in the bin to be washed. Suit was clearly defective and should have been pulled and inspected so another kid doesn’t go thru that. We had to wrap a jacket around him to remove the soaked pants and he was freezing. Talk about embarrassing for my son.

Third problem - in our group of 7 adults. 3 of us had suits that let water in somewhere along the seam as our pants were also wet (not as soaked as the 10 yo) but still.

We spent all this money on the proper gear for hiking the narrows and it didn’t even keep most of us dry. What a disappointment this was for us.

Rent from somewhere else that routinely inspects their gear. We talked with others that rented from other facilities and they had ZERO issues...

Location is great, the place is well staffed, very nice people and everything is organized. The issue I have is this: They told us the dry suit/boots for the Narrows would keep our feet somewhat warm, not dry, but not freezing, and that their equip would make the Narrows doable in January… We took their word for it and followed their instructions, we went early morning on Jan 10th to get a parking space before 9AM. I hate to burst your bubble, our feet FROZE, it felt dangerous being out there. I was worried about frost bite, it felt like bad nerve pain and numbness. We had to turn back way before our desired destination (which they recommended). There was no way we could’ve made it safely. I’m ok with cold, I like doing ice baths. I’m fine with challenging experiences, doing Zion in Winter is cold and challenging. We hadn’t even planned to do the Narrows until we saw their ad out front… It just doesn’t sit well with me to be lied to, even if that is just omission of a truth, a very important detail that would have prepared us. If you do this, be prepare for numb, painful feet and bring ways to warm/protect yourself. I think it is their responsibility to at least tell people what to expect or how to do this safely. I would have planned and prepared differently if they had at least been honest.

People working here should not be customer facing. Narrows hike was great but would not rent from this place again. Got two rentals from this place and one of the member of the party (10 year old) made sure bib was tight but water got in. As I was returning the gear I mention it to the people collecting the bibs that all clothes got wet, and his immediate response “not our problem you should check the size before you leave”. I said I agree I have accountability and should’ve checked and whether they have any accountability and his response was in same rude tone “nope”. If this is your first time hiking in 40 degree Fahrenheit water on a 40 degree day, anything happens you get the rude behavior. As I left he was telling other people without any regard that we spent minimum of 2 hours wearing cold clothes in cold weather, when I took picture he was smiling. They would not get my business again
