My family stopped here Monday, the 12th before taking the scenic drive to get a few supplies and souvenirs. We had over a hundred dollars worth of stuff; the kids picked out what they wanted to remember the trip by so you can imagine, plus stuff for my parents, sister, niece and nephew and grandparents, case of water, to go lunches for a picnic, etc. Of course, you can imagine we walked through the entire place, weaved down and through aisles, seeing all the employees along the way. We get to the checkout counter and the cashier starts to ring up our stuff. Two workers off to the side stopped her and proceeded to tell us that they wouldn't allow us service because we didn't have masks. At check out. After already having seen them. My cousin that was with me has a medical condition, to which they said they didn't care. I hadn't looked up covid related laws concerning CCW permits for Utah, just reciprocity. Regardless, the CDC has revised guidelines, numbers, and transmittability methods, so the truth is beginning to come out. My son, who is 6, started crying because of the rudeness and the fact he wouldn't have anything to remember zion with. The associates laughed at a crying child. If I weren't setting an example for them, this ordeal would have went drastically different and they would not have been laughing by the end of it. We went down the road to another place that hadn't lost their humanity. This sickened me far worse than any virus could. I hope the two heartless "women" had to put everything back themselves and they didn't make the cashier, who was even in shock over their manners, do it. The virus will end but that kind of heart and interactions, can not be cured or taken back. Now when you ask my children about Zion Canyon, they only tell about the...
Read moreWe went in here for ice cream. Guy behind the counter was making a sandwich, looked back at us waiting for awhile and didn’t even acknowledge us. The person in front of us just walked out because they were sick of waiting. Finally guy comes up and we order. We both got cake batter ice cream. It’s like a swirl of cake batter and fudge. He made one with almost all fudge and no ice cream and the other with not a speck of fudge. Literally looked down when he set them down in front of us like knowing it looked terrible. Picture included of how much just fudge there was left after I’d picked out the little actual ice cream I had (and this was after I’d tried to scoop out some of mine to put in my husband’s.) Even then, ice cream was complete garbage. I’m not sure if any of the people who have said it’s “the best ice cream ever” have ever tasted decent ice cream before? Literally tasted of nothing. The “cake batter” if anything had a bit of a fake banana flavor and the fudge was just low quality and tasteless. Most of the food and goods were over priced. There’s obviously not a lot to choose from in this area but I’d say specifically if you are from an area that knows how to do ice cream and you are looking for a sweet treat you might as well just not...
Read moreWe visited Hoodoos on 4/2/22 and experienced the worst customer service at the ice cream counter. It appeared that the man running the counter was training a girl and obviously scolded her for letting us sample ice cream(which the guests in front of us also did). However, my wife and I only tried 2 ice cream flavors each. The man must have been having a bad day because when I ordered a smoothie, he threw his hands in the air and said “see this is why we should never offer more than 2 samples because they don’t even order ice cream.” I was sampling ice cream for a possible addition to the smoothie I was ordering and my wife did order ice cream(the S’mores ice cream was actually very tasty). I do hope that management addresses this situation because it was humiliating to be able to hear the trainer talk rudely about us when we were just trying to order ice cream. This left a bad taste in our mouths for the rest of our vacation and we do not plan to come...
