Slice of Zion — Restaurant in Springdale

Although it's been a year since eating here, my family still talks about a ridiculous and bizarrely satisfying pizza we had at Slice of Zion. After a long day of hiking, we ordered a takeaway pepperoni and mushroom pie. When we return to our hotel room and open the pizza box, we stared mouths agape at the pie loaded with gigantic pepperoni slices and an obscene heaping of the biggest mushroom slices we've ever seen on a pizza. The kids were initially put off by the mushrooms because they expected the typical tiny cremini/button mushroom slices, but the earthy and savory flavor was surprisingly enjoyable. I have had some bad slides of pizza in my day but this place wins the award for the WORST PIZZA ever. I don’t know why they charge sooo much for such garbage? A Pizza Hut personal sized pizza looks large compared to the pizza that they claim is for two apparently tiny people. It’s quality pizza located within a subway store. Run by the local kids, they’re doing a great job, some of these reviews are completely false. If you want thin Italian crust this ain’t the place but it beats dominos and definitely better than a little chasers. Thank you guys!!!
