A lot of things wrong about this place- I highly discourage eating here. Firstly, the waiter was rude and unwelcoming when taking our order. They got the order wrong, and that is okay, but when we sent the wrong food back, they confronted us and continued to insist that we placed that order.
Secondly, the service was terribly lacking. Our appetizer of spring rolls came out first, and we had to wait for our plates and utensils to arrive. When they gave us our plates, they were just stacked and set on the table. They were not placed in front of us separately. The same was true for the utensils. We had to wait for 20 mins to get our water. We reminded the waiter of the water, and instead of prioritizing that, they went to the next table with a broad smile and asked them if they needed a refill of their water. We waited for a long time till we eventually got our water and our drinks (one of which was missing, and later wrongly made).
Next, let me talk about the food itself. We had ordered 3 plates of drunken noodles, which cumulatively totaled to $62.00. For that amount, you’d expect 3 filling plates of noodles. However, it seemed like they had divided a serving of rice noodles among 3 plates and filled the rest with vegetables. My plate had about 15 grams of noodles, or 5 strands in all. Other plates had the noodles uncooked and hard to cut into, and they were not “drunk” with sauce. The vegetables, including mushrooms and onions, were not cooked at all. Raw mushrooms are a big no for me. I might as well have opted for a salad if I wanted raw vegetables in my food. Our order of fried rice was fried crisp and barely edible. The only positive item on the menu was the Thai iced coffee and tea, although the coconut milk that we’d asked as a substitute for dairy was extremely sour to taste, indicating it had gone stale. All in all, a big disappointment.
Lastly, the waiter handed us our bill, and had included both items (the wrong order and the corrected order) in it. They had charged our party of 4, a mandatory 18% “service charge”, whatever that is. We hadn’t got any service right, starting from the dinnerware and water, to the uncooked and spoiling food. It’s plain wrong to charge a small party a mandatory fee just because they know that tips would be justifiably held back for an extremely poor and painful experience at...
Read moreI gave overall 2 stars only because of the hostess girl who has beautiful genuine smiles.
We were exiting Zion NP around dinner time and saw this Thai place. We could’ve gone Thai food all the time. So we stopped. We ordered Pad Thai, Large Tom Yum Soup with rice, Pizza and French fries for my kids. 2 hot teas. Didn’t take too long we had all our food. As soon as we taste our food. We all agreed this is Thai fusion. Service was average until that busgirl approached to our table without any sign and reached to the plate that still has half pizza on, by saying : you all done? I was so confused and shocked. I understand there was people waiting outside but that was just so rude! Owner was overseeing the whole dining room and trying to rush the people out so they can take more customers. Seriously the whole dining experience reached to the bottom till I got our bill. When I got the bill, it was total 95.58. I’m a little confused how can that even be real? With further reading I realize they put 18% service charge in the total. Ok gals! I’m totally fine with service charge if you would only told us in front. But neither prior entering the facility nor by giving bill, no one told me about services charge rules. We are small business owner too therefore we are 20% dinner / 18% lunch tipper with average service and food. But this place is just ridiculous. Both food and service are below average level. I asked owner about service charge rules. And she was so entitled and long faced told me 15% for group of 2. And 18% for group of 4 during holiday season. Most time I support women owned and minority owned businesses. But man, this place just reached my...
Read moreI strongly advise against patronizing this establishment, particularly if you are Asian. Our recent experience was marred by blatant racism from the server/waiter, who either demonstrated clear bias or incompetence. Upon requesting ice for our lukewarm water, it was not brought until our food had been served 20 minutes later, so we had to ask again. The server did not even apologize for the delay; instead, he seemed upset by the reminder. Additionally, the server neglected to check on our table even once, conveniently overlooking us while attending to neighboring tables. This discriminatory behavior was evident, especially considering that all other tables, occupied by white patrons, received attentive service. Our 11-year-old son even noticed and asked us why. We didn't want to ruin our dinner, so we explained to him that the server was likely too busy, but it was evident that we were being discriminated against. Furthermore, when we ordered ice cream for dessert, our explicit request for one scoop for our son was ignored, and two scoops were served without explanation, resulting in an overcharge.
The quality and quantity of the food were also disappointing, with the curries lacking in flavor and ingredients compared to typical Thai cuisine. As visitors to Zion Canyon, we were fortunate to have this experience confined to a single meal. However, it is important to bring attention to instances of racism and subpar food quality for those who value inclusivity and authentic culinary experiences.
To the owner: We dined at Table 8 around 7 pm on 4/8/24. Should you wish to address this issue with your server, we wanted to provide you with this...
