This hotel is the best!, if you want to visit one of the mighty 5 of Utah here's one of the best place to stay in, units are very comfortable and staff are all friendly!, well secured place. Rooms are very spacious with full kitchen with utensils with dishwasher that you can use while staying and free toiletries! You'll gonna woke up in the mid of stunning zion mountains sorrounds you. Located in Washington, Iron, and Kane Counties in southwestern Utah, Zion National Park encompasses some of the most scenic canyon country in the United States. Within its 232 square miles are high plateaus, a maze of narrow, deep, sandstone canyons, and the Virgin River and its tributaries. Zion also has 2,000-foot Navajo Sandstone cliffs, pine- and juniper-clad slopes, and seeps, springs, and waterfalls supporting lush and colorful hanging gardens. With an elevation change of about 5,000 feet-from the highest point at Horse Ranch Mountain (at 8,726 feet) to the lowest point at Coal Pits Wash (at 3,666 feet), Zion's diverse topography leads to a diversity of habitats and species. Desert, riparian (river bank), pinyon-juniper, and conifer woodland communities all contribute to Zion's diversity. Neighboring ecosystems-the Mojave Desert, the Great Basin, and the Rocky Mountains-are also contributors to Zion's abundance.

If you’re visiting Zion, stay here. Period. Cable Mountain Lodge has everything you need right on-site—literally steps from the park entrance. There’s a market, a breakfast spot, a spa, a gift shop, gear rentals, and it’s just minutes (on foot!) to the shuttle for all the major trails. Super convenient. The pool area is great, and having laundry access while traveling is a huge plus. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, and our room, while simple, had a bed that was unreal comfortable. Housekeeping was on point—our room was always clean, and they made sure we had everything we needed. Only small area for improvement: the room signage is rough. We saw multiple guests (including us) wandering around with luggage trying to figure out where to go because the room numbers are hard to see. A bit clearer guidance would go a long way. And while most of the staff was great, the front desk could’ve been a bit more welcoming. It was my birthday the day we checked in, and while it’s not a big deal, a small acknowledgment (even just a friendly “what brings you to town?”) would’ve added a personal touch. Overall, this place is a gem. Perfect location, great amenities, and we’ll definitely recommend it to anyone heading to Zion.

We stayed in September of 2024. We had a room on the second floor on the backside of the lodge. Our balcony faced the beautiful red hills of Zion. The location could not have been more perfect. It was very convenient being so close to the entrance of the park. The Zion village there had everything that you could possible need. The market was very convenient and had a little bit of everything. We ate at the brew pub twice during our stay. The food was great, the staff was friendly and the drinks were yummy. There is also a gift shop and the Zion Outfitters where you can rent your gear for the narrows and much more, which we highly recommend doing if you plan to hike the narrows. They also have a shuttle that will take you into springdale if you don’t want to drive. There are lots of shops and restaurants there. Everything is within a few miles. Our room was perfect. I can’t remember the type of room we had. It was a one bedroom with a dining area, living room area and kitchen. It was perfect and very clean. The pool was a clean, had a great view and was the perfect temperature. Our toilet had broken while there. We called to let them know and it was fixed immediately. I would 10/10 recommend staying here.

This hotel is fantastic!

Ella at check-in was so lovely and helpful; she answered every annoying question that we had with a huge smile and useful information. And they give you freshly baked welcome cookies!

Adam at the front desk was very friendly, helpful, and professional. We had a few requests throughout our stay and he took care of each one in a pleasant and timely manner. AND, he always greeted us with a smile, which is so nice.

Our room was perfect! We had a canyon view suite and it did not disappoint: a well-appointed kitchen (everything but an oven); a huge palm balcony with comfortable seating and fantastic views of the mountains; the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were the perfect fluffiness; and a very comfortable sofa in front of the gas fireplace. There is also a star gazing balcony off the main hallway with a fire pit, as well as a guest laundry room.

The only negative with this hotel is that it is very small and doesn’t offer certain amenities. Housekeeping is only available until the early afternoon, so no turndown service, no sleeping in too late, no late checkouts. They don’t have bathrobes for guests to use, but they do have a spa, so bathrobes must be available on property…? Room service is not an option, even though they have a very good restaurant on property. It’s still a fantastic hotel, but maybe there are some missed opportunities in their guests’ experiences?

Parking is right by the rooms.

The location is fantastic! It’s right outside the park entrance in a cute little “town” atmosphere with a gear rental shop; a fantastic restaurant and brewery with great service, amazingly delicious food, and wonderful service; a spa; a coffee/ice cream shop; a souvenir shop; and a small market with all of the necessities (we bought everything we needed to make breakfast each morning, but they have all kinds of foods and snacks).

It’s a very nice, updated, yet cozy feeling property. This is the place you’ll want to stay for the best...

Our stay at Cable Mountain Lodge was the highlight of our 10 day trip through Utah. Seriously - we ended up adjusting our trip to stay an additional night here.

I see that the negative reviews are few, but I would love to note that the staff could not have been any nicer throughout our stay. We were checked in quickly and given 2 amazing cookies (made my husband's day). Our room was on the first floor and while maybe not overly spacious, it certainly had plenty of room for us. It was clean, quiet - and the mule deer visitors at our front door the next morning were a nice surprise. Literally my only negative is that the microwave clock light was so bright I had to get up to cover it during the night.

Steps to enter Zion National Park - literally the most convenient place to stay. On site there is an amazing spa where I enjoyed one of the best massages. The two ladies at the front desk at the spa could not have been friendlier - they were so happy to be accommodating. There is also a coffee shop, convenience store and a rental store. We took advantage of everything! We rented e-bikes, had coffee each morning, purchased snacks for hiking, etc. We used the pool which was nicely heated. It is not huge, but had everything we needed at the end of a long day.

When we decided to stay an extra night, we did have to switch rooms. The staff made it as convenient as possible - and as a bonus when we checked into the second room - more cookies!!! Also, I left my bucket hat at the pool our last night and upon checkout was so happy to find that it had been turned in to the front desk.

When we booked our trip we were originally disappointed there were no rooms at the hotel in the park. After staying here, I would recommend Cable Mountain Lodge over that hotel every time! Thank you for...

First with the good: Fantastic location, can’t really get better than this. The walk-up entrance to Zion is right by the property. If it’s during the season and shuttles are running, you can walk right in and not worry about driving and parking. In addition, the property is on the river, with chairs, tables, and grills for guests to enjoy. There is a restaurant, a market, a coffee shop, an outfitter, and a merch shop right on the property, and you get a discount there if you’re a guest. Just show your key. Spa is great! Our room was spacious, with nice amenities. There was a small kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave, as well as glasses and dishes. Also good amount of storage space. Bathroom was big, with a large shower, and full size, beautifully smelling toiletries.

The bad… actually wouldn’t even call it bad, mostly thoughts on our room specifically…

We were in a ground floor room (motel-style). We had a great view of the mountains but we were also facing the main green court, meaning everyone would walk by our room and look in. The windows were tinted so it was ok during the day, but when we had a light on, we had to keep the shade down for privacy. Normally, I have a strong aversion to ground floor rooms but we got in late and were too tired to switch upon check-in. We found the lighting in the room unpleasant. There was no cosy light for the evening. Both bedside lights were too harsh and cast weird shadows. Lastly, the AC was terrible. Could not cool the room properly. We had to keep the windows open at night, but being on the ground floor, it was not ideal, plus we had to have the shade down, so the airflow was minimal.

Overall: great place and we will definitely stay again. Just in a...
