Romantic dinner near Zion? Say less. Anthera stole our hearts (and taste buds) đŸ’•đŸžđŸ„ŸđŸ„©đŸ° #ZionEats #AntheraRestaurant #FoodieFinds #HiddenGem #CouplesWhoEat #UtahEats #DateNightGoals #TravelEats #fyp #fypシ゚viral

We got here for Thanksgiving dinner. An absolute disaster! no information on the menu on allergens, nuts, diary! They say “family style sharing”. But they just put all in a plate. The appetizer was 1 biscuit per person when you pay $82 per person! stingy AF. The main dish was between turkey with ham or prime rib. We were 2 people and they just mix it all in one plate, not separately. Did you ever think that some people don’t eat pork due to religious reasons and that’s why they ordered separately?! We never got a refill for our water. The food is absolutely no FINE dining, it’s a rip off dining because there is nothing fine about it. The place looks better in pictures, in person it’s an average place. Stop advertising it as fine because you don’t even come close to it. Update to respond to the owner: look on your menu! does it say refil? Does it say order 2 people and get one appetizer? Do I have to beg for food or something? We paid for 2 people and we got one appetizer! Did the staff mention refills- NOPE! Did we get the portions separately as per our order- one ham and turkey and the other one just prime beef- NOPE. did the sides come for 2 people? NOPE- pay for 2 carrots and 2 asparagus sticks (and that's not a joke, there were 2 carrots and 2 asparagus sticks!) for the value of 1. Come on now, respect your customers. and in no situation you do not see the value of adding allergens on your menu? and 22% service charge fee for a service where we even did not get a water refill. There was another couple who was as unhappy as we were with your menu and the way of presenting things. A total disgrace.

Anthera is a really cute and cozy restaurant in Springdale. The inside is beautiful, with a fire place and classy tables and designs. The waiters are world class and extremely professional. We really appreciate all of them; they were extremely kind and helpful. You will receive world class service at this restaurant. T As for the food, that is a different story. The menu is designed to be ordered 2-3 items at a time to be shared between 2 people. However, the menu is not very expansive and there are not many options. For the options they have, they taste pretty good. The caramel shrimp was absolutely delicious; it basically didn’t even taste like shrimp. It was very tasty! The potatoes, however, were not that great. They were hard to chew and the flavor of wasabi threw off other flavors. Without it, it would taste amazing. Overall, we liked our experience. Just wish they had more, tastier options to choose from.

I was super excited to try this place as it seemed to have good reviews. We came to Zion to celebrate my husbands birthday and wanted to do a nice dinner. I called and made a rsvp for a party of 7 on Aug 7. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dinner experiences I’ve ever had. Our dinner rsvp was for 8pm. We all arrived and asked to be on the patio. We helped move the tables together since it was not already done for our party. The ambience was nice and they had a live musician which was a great touch. We were excited took 30-45 mins to look over the menu order drinks and take pics. During this time I had a surprise cake hidden at the bar. It literally says happy birthday on it. We place our order with our waiter sterling and order the corn fritters and wait. First issue is he is the only waiter working the entire patio. We are patient and just chatting until we see tables that came after us get food before us. At this point we have been here for 1.5 hrs when our waiter comes up to us and says, “oh the kitchen said they sent the food up a while ago have you already eaten?” No! We’ve been waiting for our food. So he says he’s going to go “see what happened” the restaurant is supposed to close in 30 minutes and none of us have received our meals so we start looking to see if we could just pay for our drinks and leave to go somewhere else when our waiter comes back. He is like oh the food will be coming shortly and lets it basically slip that he forgot to place our order. Then our waiter comes back to say oh well the kitchens are closing so they may have to give you the chorizo cold because it takes a while to prepare it and if I’m OK with that to which I obviously am not since we have waited for over an hour already. then he’s like oh they can microwave it and I’m again telling him no, it is not our problem that your kitchen is now closing in 30 minutes and that they should still prepare the food as it’s meant to be made. Finally he comes back with some of our food. at this point. It’s been two hours and some of the peoples orders are not correct. One of the people in our party ordered a medium rare steak and it was well done, my husband got the fish of the day which was supposed to be salmon and he was given mahi-mahi instead and when we asked the waiter, what is this he proceeded to say oh thats salmon. when we told him no it is not salmon. He then says oh well we’re out of salmon. We are then told that the chef has gone home for today. Which is confusing because if the chef has already gone home when you actually placed our order, then who actually made our food which was extremely mediocre for everyone . We spent that whole morning doing the narrows hike and we’re famished so we stayed because everyone was so hungry and by the time the waiter realize his error there was nothing else open at that time, I think he could tell that we were starting to lose patience and we tell him that this has not been an acceptable experience. Then he comes back and asked if he should bring a dessert menu even though he knows that we have brought our own dessert and proceeds to bring this up to 2 other times when we’re trying to tell him that the cake is a surprise. why are you bringing up that we have brought our own dessert when it literally says happy birthday on it one of the people in our group had to pull him aside to be like stop bringing up the cake please. This was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant that is supposed to be one of the best. Honestly, none of us should have had to pay for that meal or that service. We are $200+ in the hole but beyond that this experience ruined my husband‘s surprise birthday, this restaurants idea of comping this horrid evening was just to remove the fish of the day. Ultimately, I feel like when you go to tourist places like this and they have a constant flow of people from out of town they really can just give you any kind of service and food bc they’re not relying on locals. I would not even give this...

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and this was our only dinner here. Food was excellent. Service was terrible. We were 1 of 2 tables at the time (6pm) with what appeared to be 3 waitstaff plus a hostess and it took 15 minutes to get drinks. Our waitress also just came up to the table and said “would you like any alcohol? Oh are you 21?” First off, off putting. Secondly I’m 31 and he’s 40 and we do not look like teenagers. Our waitress did not ask us about the soup or salad that came with our meals so my husband said something at the end of us ordering and she says “oh yeah sure” and he ordered soup and I ordered salad. The soup and salad never came. Our steaks were excellent. Then when the bill came we said we never got our soup and salad- she laughed and said “oh I forgot to put it in! I was so busy getting your drinks (which were LEMONADES)” She never apologized and just stared at us and says they aren’t on the bill. My husband says they aren’t because they are supposed to come with dinner. She then apologized and gave us 20% off. Terrible service with a few tables. I would not come back for dinner- there are several other nice restaurants in town with great meals and better service.

We have had lovely servers for breakfast every day and the food is excellent. Sometimes a bit slow, but never a...
