I had my foster son’s birthday party here in December. Horrible. There are no bathrooms for kids, no place to open up presents. I paid for 2 hours and was cut down to just over 1 hour as staff kept complaining and saying “I want to eat lunch before the next party”. They rung me up so early and while the kids were taking group pictures with the frame prop. Ringing me out took forever and my foster son with autism who has to stick by my side missed pictures with his friends while at HIS OWN PARTY. They rushed me checking out, I was more worried about everyone leaving before getting pictures as I was stuck at register and they didn’t even ask me about the mandatory gift card you have to buy just to book a party that you’re supposed to put towards your check out. So now I over spent on a party that wasn’t even the time frame I paid for and have a gift card that I refuse to use with them again. $400 later, pick a different venue. I should have chosen Chesterfield location when I met their amazing management and how she catered to my son with autism. The price difference for parties there made me keep the Union Station location in the long run. That was a...
Read moreThe young woman who helped us stuff the bears was absolutely amazing! The only reason I rated it a three was because the young lady who checked us out had attitude out of this world and I actually got charged more than I should have! She rushed us through the check out process and when I was explaining to her I had two coupons that I called in advance about AND confirmed with her colleague that I could use at the same time since they were expiring she shushed me and told me I needed to calm down. I looked at my sister and asked her if I was rude and she said no she's just full of attitude and I guess doesn't want to be here. She took the fun right out of the whole experience. SHE IS NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY AND SHOULD NOT WORK IN A FAMILY FRIENDLY BUSINESS. I wish we would have had the other young lady for the whole process from start all the way to check out for us and my little brother who is 12. She did amazing! But little miss attitude will run off all business. She also wouldn't give me her name and put her name on the receipt as a number so I couldn't call and address...
Read moreI work at an ER, where people are dying or cussing at hospital staff and even we are more energetic and accommodating than the staff at this Build a Bear location. It was even more disappointing considering this was our daughters first time and she was so excited but the lack of enthusiasm, the general attitude, of the staff combined overshadowed the entire experience for us as a family. It’s really sad since this job must have included some detail prior to being hired on about having to work with small children. What’s worse, it’s the Union Station’s Build-a-Bear… A family orientated location. Will not ever be back to this location and good-luck to those that venture...
