Little Greek Review: 4600 Shelbyville Rd #402, Louisville, KY 40207
We ordered a Gyro Pita and Chicken Skewers (Souvlaki) from the Light Meal selections, which came with pita bread and a Greek salad.
*Note: My 11-year-old, in exalted excitement about how good this restaurant was, wrote most of this review. I edited for spelling & grammar, but he wrote the bulk of it. Proud mom moment!
Restaurant Atmosphere: 4.5 Stars Great atmosphere with lots of paintings and a very good layout of the tables, drink fountain, and ordering counter. The restrooms needed a little bit of love – the light switch in the men's restroom was unresponsive and detached from the wall, and the women’s restroom had no toilet paper or paper towels available, but the restaurant itself had a great atmosphere.
Food Appearance: 5 Stars The food came out looking great! It was arranged well on the plate and looked so good that we took photos of it before we could eat it.
Taste: 5 Stars Fresh, Crisp, Delicious, a perfect amount of sauce already in the Gyro Pita. The chicken skewers meal was grilled and well-flavored. The Greek salad contained beets and bell peppers, which was different on a typical Americanized Greek salad, but the flavor combination was delicious.
Customer Service: 5 Stars The associate at the counter was super nice, and didn't mess up our order one bit! The food was delivered directly to our table a few minutes after we ordered.

Read more1st time, gave it a fair go. Food 3-stars because while the food was tasty, it lacks the authenticity I crave. It’s definitely Greek inspired, but that’s as far as it goes. That said, portions are ample, greens are fresh, food is assembled to order, price as I’d expect, fair. The dolmas were not great, a bit on dry side, side sauce unidentifiable in flavor. The avgolemono not authentic, used I believe potato starch to thicken, not bad just odd consistency and flavor a bit on salty side. Greek salad had an unusual dollop of potato salad, and the franchise Greek Dressing was sweet, Greek dressing is not sweet and so easy to make in house not a fan of bottled stuff, I didn’t use it. The gyro pita was tasty, too much lettuce, tzatziki was not authentic and too much of it, but overall tasted decent. The Greek potatoes were not very good, not crisped but slightly over done around edges, flavor a bit bland. Service was friendly, food delivered to table promptly, had choice of real silverware or plastic. It’s a solid 3-stars, but for more authentic tasting Greek try Tzatziki’s...
Read moreThe people were friendly. The food was both wrong and 1 was nothing like the pictures of their food. I ordered a Greek salad. It came with lots of lettuce, 2 very small olives, 2 thin slices of green pepper, 2 peppers, a little cheese, and a little bit of dressing. No beet or anything else that represents a Greek salad. One of the other people with me ordered a hamburger pita and got a steak one which would not have been bad, but it was chewy and he did not finish it. The last person that was with me ordered the steak pita and of course it was chewy. That one didn’t get finished either. I also ordered hummus. I love hummus but this cane in a small condiment container and was dry And did not have the flavor of hummus I am a customer to. . The pita bread was left on the grill for heating too long. It was crispy and had dark spots from the grill. On a positive note the pita bread that came with the salad was good. That was my first time there and we probably will never go...
