Beware of your phone's id! I went there to have a charging port on my Galaxy S5 replaced and they were nice and replaced it. When I went to pick up my phone they said that my glass would not fit back into the frame of my phone so they replaced it with a gold frame (mine was originally silver). I was a bit confused because my original one was in much better condition, but since I had a case over it I did not mind. Well a couple months later my charging port they replaced busted. I was going to exchange my phone with Best Buy since I had their buy back program, but they said I would need to get the charger fixed. The employee at best buy continues to tell me that the numbers on the back of my phone are not the same as my original phone. I explained to them that the frame was replaced. He said that they switched the motherboard into another phone and could not accept it because the numbers were not the same. I was supposed to get $140 credit to a new phone. I took it back the CPR and told them everything. They said they would replace the charger again since it failed, but they could do nothing about the phone being switched. I explained that I was told only the frame, not the phone was switched. He then told me that they were sorry and they would use this incident as a "training issue" for their employees. They said that it was "my fault" because I never told them that I was going to turn the phone in. I proceeded to tell them I didn't know I would two months ago. They kept saying it was not their fault and they would do nothing. I advised I would take it to small claims court and they took my information to have the manager call. It has been some weeks and I have had no call. I will be filing papers to get the...
Read moreDon't bring a console here. I brought in a playstation 4 pro to be cleaned and the thermal paste replaced. My playstation ended up breaking due to the repair and it wasn't fixable. They ordered me a new one from their "sellers" at eBay (which may just be a random person off eBay) and it turned out to be worst than the first. It was extremely dusty, the menu was laggy and the hard drive was corrupted. I now have a console worst than the first. The console was unusable due to the hard drive. I ended up cleaning it myself and having to get a new drive. If anyone is considering bring a console for a cleaning just do it yourself. The tools to do so are less than 20 dollars and it isn't hard at all. I'm overall disappointed with their services and I will never go there again. I give it 2 stars because the people at the shop are very kind and apologized for what happened and I got a full refund. *Pictures below are of the PlayStation they replaced my old one with. Edit: I forgot to mention that the service was extremely slow during all of this. It took them about a week to "clean my console". After now having used the console I have now (the one in the picture below) it seems to have something wrong with the system software or something of that nature. It crashes often even though I have cleaned it. I really regret coming to this repair shop and the longer I use the console the more I discover there is something wrong with it. They didn't even bother to factory reset the console and they left someone else's profile on there. I have no choice but to reinstall the system software...
Read moreI was very happy with the service at the former independence location. Strongsville was the next closest location so I called and spoke to Mark. My phone was charging but the connection was a little loose. He stated that a disconnected port would be 199.99 (labor job), if not disconnected it would be 79.99. They would not know until they removed the screen. He said to bring my cord, that it just may be they needed cleaned. He was nice enough to remind me about how bad traffic gets near there. Due to traffic and construction, I arrived 90 minutes later. He was 'not there. I let the guy, who was there know about the conversation. He looked at my port quickly, did something on the screen, got into his computer and said the cost is 215 99. I told him he didn't even look at it and that's not what I was told on the phone. He said my port is damaged and he doesn't know where Mark (who said he was the manager) got the prices because he has 215.99. He didn't even do anything with the screen, didn't remove it to actually look at it. He tried calling Mark but got no answer. The cost of the repair may have been reasonable if someone would have actually looked at it or even tried the cord. It's the 3 difference prices and poor customer service that I will tell everyone about and will 'not recommend this location. It's service that gives the company its reputation. This location is very much lacking. Need to communicate better' and maybe attempt to repair it. Or look to see what's...
