This has to be the only place on the whole east coast where you can play real, original classics in real cabinets, with real quarters, AND everything is in good working order. I've searched. 99.99% of retro arcades will give you make you pay $20 at the door, give you a card to swipe, make you buy a beer, etc. etc. Not the end of the world, but just so different from how it was in the good old days. No one else is letting you waltz in and actually play Ms. Pac-Man and Centipede for a quarter each. I know this can't be profitable, and it makes it harder to keep everything in working order, so I want to say THANK YOU to the owner for keeping the nostalgia alive. I wish I lived closer or I'd be here every day trying to take down those high scores like it...
Read moreThey moved down the street since my last visit. The new location has more space and a share retail space with The Anarchist Closet, a thrift/consignment store that I can best describe as vintage punk.
The games are still in great shape, the pinball games are fully functional with good flippers. Broken games are quickly flagged and repaired.
I really appreciate that this place is on coin drop and not a flat rate for admission. I have stopped by many times when I have some free time to play some games. I would not go nearly as often if I had to pay a flat rate for admission.
