On Shore Surf Shop — Attraction in Surf City

Over July 4th week my family and I were vacationing at Surf City. My son had been saving his money to buy a new skim board. He found one at On Shore Surf Shop he liked, so we bought it. Within a few hours of him using it, the board somehow split on the end. We took it back hoping to have it repaired. The owner went above and beyond what was expected to make my son happy. Instead of just repairing the board, he exchanged the board for another one and even gave him a replacement pad to fit the board. Being a small business owner myself, I love dealing with local family owned businesses. On Shore Surf Shop showed us outstanding customer service and I will highly recommend them to anyone looking a surf board or anything...

Very cool shop with lots of local clothes, stickers and surf accessories. Good selection of boards even though its end of season. The owner/operator was an older man (looked like a surf veteran) with an awesome goatee and was easy to talk too. I needed a padded bumper to help easy the strap pressure when carrying SUP's and instead of selling me a $20 product he told me how to make one for only a few dollars. Integrity can go a long way and is why I will come back! Great place to rent paddle boards and surf boards. He carries skim boards, hats, quality sun shirts, and awesome stickers. If your coming to the beach you cant miss the store just off the old bridge...

The experience was nice, HOWEVER, I bought a pair of sanuk sandles at the cost of about $35 dollars plus tax close to the end of the beach season of 2017, wore them at the beach maybe 5 times from purchase, i let them sit in the closet for the winter. So today is going to be 81deg. So with the day off i put on my sandles to head to Surf City and the middle strap broke between my big toe and the next. I called the store and they would not look for a way to help me out. So i said to the associate on the phone, So im out of $35. His reply was, Pretty much so! Thanks for showing me what kind of business is done there. I will never shop...
