At Ryu Sushi, my visit turned into a distressing encounter due to their discriminatory treatment towards my service dog and their overall lack of empathy. The staff, particularly the person in charge, exhibited a regrettable attitude, seemingly allowing their authority to overshadow basic understanding and compassion.
What struck me as particularly frustrating was their insistence on my service dog wearing a vest at all times, despite the legal flexibility allowing service animals not to do so. I offered to provide an explanation of my dog's role, but my attempts were dismissed. This rigid stance displayed a lack of awareness and willingness to accommodate patrons with specific needs.
The individual in charge, whom I can only describe as having an unprofessional attitude, seemed more interested in asserting authority than ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for all customers. Their behavior left me feeling disheartened and discriminated against.
In response to this unacceptable experience, I am committed to reporting the incident to the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). It is my hope that such reporting will prompt the necessary changes and ensure that Ryu Sushi adopts a more inclusive and respectful approach towards customers with service animals.
To compound my disappointment, the quality of the food at Ryu Sushi was appalling. The sushi had a distinct fishy odor, and the salmon skin salad, as well as the hand roll, were served cold and overly oily. The lack of freshness and attention to detail in the preparation was evident.
Regrettably, the consequences extended beyond a mere unsatisfactory dining experience. The following day, I suffered from severe food poisoning, necessitating a visit to urgent care. This health issue is deeply concerning and raises serious questions about the hygiene and safety standards within Ryu Sushi's kitchen.
The combination of discriminatory treatment towards my service dog and the subpar food quality, resulting in food poisoning, has left me with a profound sense of disappointment and concern. I believe it is crucial to share these details in my review to alert potential patrons to the potential health risks and overall unsatisfactory experience...
Read moreBEST SUSHI IN TEMECULA! This restaurant literally just opened up a few week's and we couldn't wait to check it out! I'm glad we did the fish is fresh and NOT fishy at all and for me this is a huge deal because I don't like raw fish that much ( due to stinky fish). We got 2 all you can it (very reasonably priced at $21.95 I think) I got all of the cooked tempura rolls such as Las Vegas, The snake and a few more that I cant remember ALL DELICIOUS ❤ I had 2 bowls of miso soup (which I've never done) the seaweed looked fresh as a pose dry/dehydrated seaweed from a bag. My husband got salmon rolls 2 of them a philly a rainbow and spider roll I decided to try a piece of the philly roll and I'm so glad I did... Let me tell you the roll was so fresh I couldn't even tell it was in there until I crunched down and even then all of the flavors mixed perfectly! So I just started eating everything and I mean everything. The food was delicious the ambience was nice and very clean our waitress was very nice and helpful. You can tell all the sushi chef's take pride in what they do and enjoy seeing their guests enjoy what they created. Hats off to the chef's best sushi I've ever had here in Temecula and we go to Hana sushi at least 7 times a month. Try the spicy edamame (not part of the all you can eat special)
The waitress even offered us complimentary Ice cream but we had to decline because we were so full...
• The rolls are a nice size and not all rice. • Only downside is they don't serve white meat chicken (but the dark meat used for teriyaki is very flavorful and I rarely eat dark)
Bottom line CHECK THEM OUT YOU...
Read moreI was a regular at this establishment until yesterday, but after this experience, I won’t be returning. The service was unbelievably poor. It took over 30 minutes for our first round of food to arrive, which I could understand if they were busy, but there were only about six tables with three waitresses. I watched our food sit at the window while our waitress stood at the front of the restaurant, completely ignoring it, and talking to other tables. Our drinks were empty, and no one came to check on us.
Things only got worse. When we ordered our second round, no one came over to take it, and the waitress finally handed us the check, even though we hadn’t finished eating. We had to tell her we were still waiting for more food. She took the order back, but another waitress came over shortly after, asking why we hadn’t paid. We explained we were still eating, and she took the bill away, but at that point, the service was already frustrating.
Our second round of food was delayed so long that the restaurant was essentially closing, and they still hadn’t brought everything we ordered. When I asked for a manager, they didn’t get one, and the waitress who had ignored us sat at our table while I explained my frustration to another waitress-which was very uncomfortable. In the end, they took less than $10 off our $80 bill, which didn’t feel like enough for such a disappointing experience.
We love the food here, but this level of service is unacceptable. We felt unwelcome and frustrated after being there for 1.5 hours and only getting served 1.5...
