I have been to the Nyack store twice recently and left frustrated and empty-handed both times. The first time there was a dress in the window that I liked. I searched the store for it but couldn’t find it. I asked an associate, and she said, “Yeah, there’s a lot of stuff in the window that we don’t carry in the store.” She didn’t even know the exact dress I wanted. Are you kidding me? Why display a dress that you don’t even stock?
Today I came by because it was the first day of their big sale. A sale that I have received numerous emails about being available on-line and in-store. There was a sign at the front of the store saying their dressing rooms were closed and that things can be returned for 30 days. Why in the world would you promote an in-store sale if you can’t even try things on? Isn’t the point of going in-person to a store is to see the merchandise, try it on, and possibly save shipping and returns? I live an hour away, btw. There is no way I would drive two hours to come back to the store. I asked an associate about the closed room, and he said I could check the men’s side. The men’s side was also closed, so I asked another associate. She said that they don’t have the staff to cover the floor and the dressing room and that I could try stuff on out on the floor. I was holding a very fitted dress. There was no way to try it on “out on the floor” without stripping down. Is that what they are suggesting? On the way out, I went back to the first associate who said to try the men’s fitting room. I told him, “Hey, the men’s fitting room is closed too.” He then said that it is a worldwide Zara policy to close the dressing rooms on the first day of the sale. What? Ok, now this guy is just out right lying and making stuff up. There’s no indication in emails, or online that worldwide, Zara closes its dressing rooms on the first day of the sale. I was so frustrated that I left the store. I checking the sale online, and gave up there too. I think I’m just done with this store and...
Read moreMy name is Susan. I was in Zara at the palisade mall last week. I was looking for some clothes and shoes I seen online. I approached an employee I asked her to do a stock check and she rudely told me the everything was on the floor. Frustrated I said okay. So I kept looking btw she didn't even try to look up the items I was looking for .. once again I approached another employee she was wearing face mask and gloves at first I was like wth is wrong with her COVID is long gone. Either way I asked her for help and for my surprise she was extremely friendly. Shockingly since everyone there is so rude!!!! I ask her to help me find the items I was looking for. She pulled her device and ACTUALLY did a stock check .... she told me it was on the floor but I told her how another employee told me everything was on the floor but refused to actually check and she kindly told me she would help me look for it... And I asked her why was she wearing a mask and she told me the store can be very dusty and I wear a mask cause I have asthma and breathing this dust can actually make my breathing difficult and so I asked her why she wear the gloves so she answered cause sometime the racks and hanger makes your hand dirty with a black stain the actually can get in the clothes. So I was surprised with her answers. To make things short this girl grabbed was she called a pda and actually found everything I was looking for. I was so so happy that for once someone actually care about a customer and helped me find what I wanted. I asked her for her manager to tell the manager how greatfull I was and she said theirs no need I am here to help the customers not to get recognized. So I asked her name she said my name is Jiselle so that's is why I decided to write this review to thank her for her help and her kindness. I wish this store had more...
Read moreThe staff is so unbelievably rude.
I went up to this lady at the register to exchange a pair of pants or to get a store credit.
Since the beginning she already had a bit of an attitude but I brushed it off. She asked me what I wanted to do and told me that since I bought the pants online, she couldn’t give me a store credit. It was also very loud at the store and I was trying to tell her to do whatever is easier or quicker because there was a huge line and I was trying to be considerate.
She proceeded to tell me that there were a smaller pair available in the store instead of ordering it online and I said that’s fine. She brings the pair of pants which seemed like the same pants I had tried on before going to the register in a Medium. I told her that those didn’t fit me and she tells me in these exact words. “Ok. Are you done?” I was completely thrown and she goes “ok have a good day bye.” Lol
I looked at her I told her “Ok you don’t have to be rude.” And she tries to make it seem like she wasn’t being rude at all. And says “you said you didn’t need these right?”
And I was OK YOU DONT HAVE TO BE RUDE.
Like girl it’s not my fault this is the field you chose to work in. This staff needs to be trained to be nicer to...
