Despite what we have been through these last few months, I could not be happier with my experience. Gary turned out to be a true professional. I was looking to exchange the original mattress I purchased. After many weeks and a few follow up visits I decided on my new choice. On the day I went to complete the exchange process the store was shutdown. Considering that we didn't know how long the shutdown would be, it's an understatement to say I was concerned about my trial period expiring. Customer service can be non existent with some retailers. Salespersons can say many things then then misremember later on. During the many calls I made during this time Gary was patient and reassuring. He assured me that the trial period would be extended. When I noticed that the mattress I wanted in the exchange went on sale during the holiday weekend he told me that he would honor that sale price. I had my doubts as this was a mattress that rarely goes on sale, never mind at such a steep discount. When they emailed me today on their reopening, I rushed to the store of my original purchase even though that was not the store Gary was at. I went in and mentioned my conversations with Ed in Rockville Centre. True to his word when Ed called Gary everything Gary promised was honored. Since I will be getting my new mattress on Saturday (2 days) I'm looking forward to getting my first good night's sleep in months. Kudos Gary. Thank you Ed. I feel bad about one thing however. I know that the sales staff work on commission and if all had been right in the world I would have paid significantly more for my mattress without the Sale discount. Based on the integrity of the staff my original salesperson Robert who also provided me with exemplary service through no fault of his(just bad timing and Covid) is going to lose out on a considerable portion of his commission. This experience will have me singing the praises of the staff I dealt with. I hope the company will see fit to keep Robert whole as it was his efforts that led me to make my original purchase. I have been a customer since the Sleepy's days. This is the attention to customer's needs that will keep me as a loyal customer into the future and recommend you without hesitation. Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting the Rockville Center Mattress Firm location. I was warmly greeted by Daniel. I told him the price range I was aiming for, and he took the time to first assess what my needs were by doing a mattress match up. He was very thorough and picked out about 6 mattresses that met my health/ body conditions. Four of his choices were the same choices I was considering after doing my own research, the night before. I was impressed by that. He was very patient and let me try several mattresses, some even lower than my price range. He didn't rush me and carefully laid out a protective cloth so I could lay down on each mattress I was considering. He wanted me to see what actually felt the best. Daniel explained the materials used and what their benefits were. I learned a lot about mattresses, bases, and pillows and was able to make an educated decision. I ended up finding a great mattress, base and pillow for less than I thought. Daniel was nice enough to extend the Labor Day sales to me because I called the store the day before to ask about when the sales ended (the sales ended the day before). I was truly grateful for this. We originally bought a mattress from a different store that ended up being too firm and went to the RVC store to try different mattresses as part of an exchange. I emailed the store the night before with a question about a specific mattress and received a prompt response when the store reopened. When we arrived we were greeted by Mrs Johnson, one of the store managers, who was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable about all of the mattresses. She recognized immediately that we had sent the inquiry the night before, as she was the one that responded to it. She was very attentive and eager to help us resolve our problem with the previously purchased mattress.
