Lake Placid-North Elba Historical Society — Attraction in Town of North Elba

This is a lovely museum inside the former railway station. The building is beautifully preserved and retains its original character. The exhibits are very well laid out and highly informative, covering a huge range of local topics (transport, tourism, education, religion, economy, sports etc). The guides were also very welcoming and helpful. It costs $5 per adult (July 2025) which compared to the steep charges at other local attractions is very good value. Highly recommended for...
