It is unbelievable that this place doesn’t have more reviews!
We didn’t know you had to book a table at Salt of the Earth and when we were turned around we decided to explore.
We passed by with the car and it looked like a good place - to my surprise the menu was very interesting and the plates looked stunning. So we decided to stay.
It wasn’t busy at all and when the food came out we were mind blown. Absolutely excellent, Michelin level local flavors.
We highly recommend the Mushrooms, the Shallot Tarte and the Tomato Tartare. The Guinea Fowl was impecable and although a couple of potatoes were undercooked, the Campari Olive Oil Cake was out of this World. Honestly, we did not care about a couple of potatoes.
What a find.
We are convinced next time we are in the area we will not be able to get a table. Because I want to put them on the map. I would recommend it to everyone and huge congratulations to the Chef...

While we had very good meals on Main Street for similar pricing, this place took the crown for well executed...

Honestly, I was not expecting anything spectacular and upon immediate inspection, the menu was limited. I’d hiked all day and I was a little tired and cranky. I just wanted to sit at the bar, have a beer, eat dinner and write in my journal. I didn’t speak with anyone beyond the bar staff but I found them authentically friendly and chill. I did have a very well made Manhattan to start and the experience got better from there. I ordered the Caesar Salad and tuna nachos (photo below). The salad was excellent. And the nachos? I suggest ordering the nachos. I don’t engage in platitudes, so….. just order the friggin nachos.
I’m here three days and I’m thinking of...
