Here on a hiking trip with our young kids (ages 7 & 9). Picked this hotel for its location, close to downtown and to the Olympic Center. Great location. Walking distance to everything. Since the hotel doesn’t have a pool we enjoyed swimming at the lake right across. There’s a beach with a dock to jump off. Also a play ground right across as well as tennis courts. Right next to the brewery but there was a wait time so we went elsewhere for food. Hotel room was clean and had everything we needed for a two night stay. The breakfast is a continental style breakfast with a meat, eggs, oatmeal, juices, sugary cereals, yogurt, muffins, pancakes, croissants bagels and bread as well as bananas and apples. We all enjoyed not having to find somewhere to eat breakfast or spend extra money on breakfast. Beds were comfortable and there is a fridge in the room that you can use to store your own food. The price was good. It was on the more affordable side for a nice hotel. We felt it was perfect for what we needed. Service was good. We would stay here again. Reminder to bring plug in for usbs as the charging station in the room was an alarm clock and might not charge everything you want. There is charging stations in the lobby area if needed.

Nice location, friendly staff. Lovely fresh flowers bouquet vase in the front desk. Ring the hand bell. Check-in time a little delayed. Luggage cart provided, large elevator. Large, clean and quiet room, 2 TVs. The room is behind the hotel sign, top of the lobby main door drive through area. 2 sides big windows to view the corner streets. No much worry to be bothered or disturbing neighbors or upper/lower guests. No strange smells, as I am very sensitive to odor. Hot/warm Breakfast, juice machine, pancake making auto machine, cereals, toast, bagels, apples and bananas, vary jams spread. Hot water/decaf/Cafe with different sugar milk/cream provided. The staff clean table immediately after guest left. Other detail see below. Regret didn't bring any swim stuff, can play and swim in the Mirror Lake, public beach just across the hotel.

Did not get the room type that was reserved. There was no 2 bedrooms with two king beds option on-site but this room type was listed on many third party websites such as Expedia, Cheaptickets, etc. The manager there said it was not their fault at all but the third party websites which was so hard to understand and accept. The lake view was so disappointed also and it was not like the pictures they showed on their own website or any third party websites. WiFi coverage was not well either.

Being that this hotel doesn't have many reviews, i wanted to write a detailed one that justified my 3 star rating and what you can expect if you travel here in the near future. I thought it was a good value, but there are points below you should consider if you plan to stay at this hotel.

Value - I thought it was a pretty great value for the king room! Breakfast & parking included, the king bed was huge, enough to fit 3-4 adults depending on body size. They had ample amounts of towels and a fantastic smelling soaps. The room had a large waterfall style shower head, which is great but if you dont want to get your hair wet, bring a hair cap.

Room quality & cleanliness - The room was clean, modern, and nicely kept. it was a good amount of space and they even had a separate table, safe, and mini fridge area. They also had a microwave in the lobby.

Noise - This was a big reason for me deducting 1 star, throughout the night we were able to hear a flow of air different from what came from the AC, it was almost like wind was passing through the room continuously. Next, they are remodeling, early in the morning we woke up several times to the cutting of wood & hammering. Additionally, if anyone opens and closes the doors in the hall ways, its quite loud and will definitely wake you up. As a last point, which may be more specific to my situation, the light in the shower was dripping water from the shower in the room above, which maintained a continuous loud dripping sound. Seems insignificant, but when water is dripping on a shower floor 10 ft from the air, its enough to drive anyone mad, i had to put towels down on the shower floor to dampen the noise.

Room view - This is the second reason i deducted a star. I stayed at this hotel because it was a special night for me and my girlfriend, I wanted to have a nice view. I called and asked a few of the hotel staff before staying there about the lake view room and the mountain view room. They stated that the lake view room had a view of the lake and a balcony and the mountain view room had a partial view of the mountain. Trusting them i booked the mountain view room, but there was no view at all. In the room i stayed in you could literally only see the parking lot. even if i was in a more elevated room, I'm hesitant to think you would have any decent view of the mountains. It was pretty disappointing, i brought it up to the staff in the morning, but they just acknowledged the comment and moved on. Ultimately, don't stay here if you are doing it for any views

Amenities - Again, the hotel included breakfast with the stay, nothing super complex but was a nice perk, they also had to go bags with a banana, yogurt, and fruit bar. parking was included also, which based on the time your visiting, can be super valuable in it self. Its literally a 2 minute walk to mirror lake and a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants/shops - super conveniently located.

service- Staff...

This was my experience when compared to other reviews.

Let me clearly state that this review is only warranted due to how I was questioned by the front desk considering i did not pay for my stay at the main st location my job paid for it so why would I even bother right.

The place isn't bad at all, but the cleaning part of it needs to b addressed. When we got to our room noticed 2 microwave then we realized why, 1 was broken, then we tried using the oven to cook pierogi which took more then an hour to cook on broil cause the oven wasn't working properly, then when we finally to go to bed the pillow case looked used so we smelled it n it smelled like a man's cologne. Now that was the no no part. We called the front desk n she said to drive over to the boutique place. I did n brought the pillow. She still questioned my claim n even try to say that ovens typically take that long to heat up.

Even though she questioned me she still moved us from 205 to room 207 on the main st location. Well that rooms oven worked just fine but wasn't completely clean either by the toilet area of the bathroom I cleaned that n enjoyed the rest of my stay there. Again I'm wasn't paying for the stay so why bother with a review right.

Management needs to teach their employees to b a bit more customer friendly n not question us n whomever is cleaning the rooms needs to actually care about her job or go get another in my opinion no one should get a dirty pillow or dirty room at all. Maybe a walk through by management would help this if you guys truly cared.

Sorry for the long review.

Would I stay there again YES, we not picky at all we just don't like to b questioned when a stay like this is costing someone...

The hotel is advertised as newly renovated, BUT... they are not ready yet to meet customers. The laundry is not set up yet, the pool isn't working, the breakfast isn't served... They didn't provide hot breakfast Monday - Friday (according to their words "due to COVID") and on Saturday - Sunday there was hot breakfast. So COVID is dangerous only Monday - Friday and on Saturday and Sunday, it doesn't exist?!? On the days when they provided hot breakfast, it was very poorly done and wasn't enough. The hotel was just trying to save money by not providing breakfast every day. To make matters worse, when I booked my reservation through booking.com, I was given two options: breakfast included (extra pay), no breakfast for lesser cost. I was traveling with 3 children, so I chose the more expensive option with breakfast. You can imagine my disappointment, when they gave a grab and go "one banana". I had to pay extra $70 every day to feed my family at a local diner. (still trying to resolve matters with booking.com and get a refund for the extra pay for breakfast). They don't provide cribs. My infant child fell off the bed twice and injured his head. His head was bleeding. I asked the maintenance person to put something next to the bed (as a cushion) in case it happens again, I was told they don't have anything extra. They can only give me extra pillows. Crazy! My husband and I had to move the furniture in the room ourselves to come up with something more or less secure so that our child doesn't fall off the bed again. I will not return to this...
