Highly recommended. If you're enthusiastic and interested about woodworking, pay these kind folks a visit.
Outstanding products and service. I have connected with (3) different staff -- Jamie, David, and Althea -- on separate visits -- overall, I found each to be friendly, well-informed, and helpful.
Most recently, I connected with David and Althea for some equipment and project advice. They listened to my project goals, and took the time to explain specific products that Rockler can provide to make the work easier, and more consistent.
David shared a method he has used personally to approach my objective. In the process, and followed up with some additional equipment recommendations that were spot on.
Rockler has an entire team devoted to dreaming up ways to make your life as woodworker easier. I can confirm -- high value here.
I special ordered an item, and it was delivered to the store -- David telephoned when it had arrived to let me know. Great follow through.
Woodworking can involve some very detailed specifications and design elements, and it does pay to have done some research about what you would like to do -- this will help make the most out of your in-person visit.
Also -- one of the reviews for Rockler from a while ago states that it's "where men go". Maybe at one point in time, woodworking was seen as primarily the domain of men. This is an outdated perspective. Those days are long past, and Rockler has awesome craftswomen on staff.
This place is truly for EVERYONE who wants to try their hand working with wood.
Give them a try -- I think you'll be...

I shopped at your Tukwila WA store today, it was my first time and was excited to see what there was.
after looking around i finally found two items i could use, the first item was a 3-pc spring caliper set, there was only one there and i should have really thought why was the box tapped shut with scotch tape but did not think about it.
the second item was a dust right lathe dust collection system, the guy at the shop showed it to me after we talked and although it was a bit out of my price range i figured it would be a good thing to get.
so after the 1 hr drive back to my home i was very disappointed to find out that the caliper set was used, of the three items two were in a sealed bag but the third was not, i pulled it out and you can see it was dirty from use,
this made me wonder about the other item, so i looked at it, and that box was sealed with tape as well, i opened it and found three items were not even in their bags, the bags were there but the item was just shoved back into the box and tapped shut.
if it was not over a hr away i would have gone back to the store and complained in person,
how can a store sell items as new when they were used or returned.
at least mark it down so if i would have bought it i would have already known it was returned.
your store had a lot of good things for wood work and i would like to think i would go back, but having the first items i purchased there being this way makes me wonder what the quality of this store is, and puts a very bad taste in my mouth...
Read moreRockler of tukwila, I’ve visited this store countless of times throughout the last few years because unfortunately it’s the closest wood working store to my house. And if I could have rated this review 0 stars. I would have. Because without a doubt every single time I visit this store, I go out of my way to ask for assistance from absolutely ANY one except jade. Because the crass, rude, and appalling customer service she has. I asked for the availability of a product that my favorite wood store (Woodcraft of seattle) has, the response: “yeah I make my own I’m guessing just go online or something if you can’t make yours” This is one of the many swift unsatisfactory revolting comments I receive and to just put a cherry on top. As we are leaving my boss who went with me to the store was accused of stealing as we just spent $200 at the store. If I could advise anyone to just go out of your way to go to woodcraft of Seattle spend the 30+ mins and DO IT. The gentleman there are so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about wood, turning, and many alternatives. And Rockler, you surprise me at how you guys still have buisness because my coworkers have all had the same experience....
