Dochi are a cross between traditional mochi and donuts and the hybrid is unbelievably delicious. It has a little chew beneath the traditional donut crust and is moist and tender. Toppings vary from week to week but they usually offer some variety of ube with glaze or icing as well as creative combos like strawberry pocky, red velvet, coffee and cookies or fruity pebbles to name a few. Servers are fast and friendly. This Dochi is located inside the Asian market so there is plenty of parking. In the times that I have been here, not once has there been a person with a cattle prod trying to make me move through the line at a speed I was uncomfortable with. Also, I have ordered things off of a menu before, thus preparing me for the situation some seem to have trouble with.
It is possible that you could get anxious while ordering, at which point you could have stepped aside and let someone go in front of you. The employees are helpful and happy to be there from what I can tell.

Read moreThe donuts are very good because they aren't as sweet. The flavors are not dependent on sugar to taste great. The signage or whatever could be improved. It was my first time there and when asked what I wanted for my donuts, I just briefly scanned the varieties and blurted 2 of each and ended up with a dozen. Luckily, it worked out for me. It's just that for my first time to a place, I'd like to know what I'm getting into without feeling like I should already know.
Which donuts are which flavors. I still don't know what I bought beyond the matcha/green tea donuts and fruit pebbles donuts. The remainder are a mystery. All were delicious but...
