Updated If you want to be overcharged, gas lit and taken advantage of 10000% this is your salon to go to.
I went and got a poly gel manicure last month and absolutely loved my experience. I went back today for a fill. I had three nails that had broken off and I fully expected to have to pay for those to be repaired or get a full set again. Full set is $75 dollars, and today It was explained to me that a fill is $65 and each broken nail is $7 each. A total of $86.00 which Tricia offered that she only charge $20 for the three nails. ( so one dollar off..) I clarified and asked that if I decided to get a full set, it’d be $75 vs $85 for a fill to which she said yes… so I told her I wanted a full set since it was a bit cheaper.
She proceeded to do a fill ( did not take all of my original tips off to start over) which idk why she did reg at but I thought maybe that’s just standard for a full set if people come in with tips. She then proceeded to put one tip on one of my broken nails and said she would lengthen my other two from my natural nail underneath. Also confused as to how this was in alignment with a “ full set”…
She ended up having to go back and add a tip to one of the natural nails because it was WAY shorter than my other nails and I just had her leave my thumb because at this point I didn’t want to be difficult or contribute to an already awkward experience.
When I she finished, she hadn’t cleaned up under the nail very much and I still have weird pieces of poly gel hanging from underneath my nails. I’ll add some pics to show you what I’m talking about.
I went to pay and they STILL CHARGED ME $65 for a fill +20 for the three fixed nails even though one of those fixed nails didn’t even get a tip added onto it. So she literally charged me MORE money for even less work. Even though I had actually asked for a full set.
I was disappointed in the quality of my manicure, the logic in their charges and them still just doing what they wanted to do thinking I wouldn’t notice. I found that to be very dishonest and I don’t Reccomend anyone seek an experience like this. I likely won’t return and if I do I most certainly won’t have that specific tech do work on my hands.
My nails were done three hours ago.. and they look like I went digging in clay 😞 so disappointed. I will add even more pics of how terrible this manicure is.honestly… I could have done better myself if I did it with my own two feet.
Update: In response to the clarifications made by the clarifications below, yes I did make an appointment I didn’t show up to the following day because I was going out of town and would TRY to make . I called again a few days later to let them know I was still out of town and still wanted to come get my nails fixed to which they responded for me to come in and get my nails inspected to see what they could do.
As far as you checking for customer satisfaction at the time of payment I have to issues with this. 1) what I was being charged at the counter I did express my dissatisfaction with what I was being charged for especially when I clarified before during and after payment that it wasn’t what I asked for and what I should have been charged. And B) st the end of my service, my tech said “ you’re done, everything ok?” Several times as I was inspecting my nails to the end that I gor annoyed and wanted to be out of that place as soon as possible. I wouldnt consider that an oppurtunity to check nails for satisfaction but more so a ruse to get me out of the seat. As you said in your prior post “ it must have been very busy”. At this point I am exhausted and realize since it’ll have been over a week from this initial appointment it was just as likely as not they would chalk up my issues to wear and tear from the time in between. I decided for my own peace of mind not to and never to return to this trash nail salon.
Be warned if you want to get your nails done here, check the sides underneath and top several times before they shoo you out...
Read moreThis was the worst experience of my life (no exaggeration) long story short. DO NOT go there if you’re someone who likes longer acrylic sets with designs, as they don’t have nail techs capable of producing quality sets of the sort. I had mentioned MULTIPLE times during the process that there was several issues with how the nails were turning out and that I didn’t like them (politely of course) & I felt ignored and not only that but she started to get frustrated and being careless with the filing resulting in me getting cuts on the sides of my finger tips. I got so uncomfortable and unhappy with the service that I asked her to just take off the design and leave them the way they were (something I’ve NEVER done before) & they honestly turned out horrible. They were short, uneven, rushed & nothing even close to what I had asked for. The manager visibly seen how unhappy I was but didn’t offer any solution, with my anxiety running so high, I paid the 75$ (over priced) for these low quality/ atrocious nails anyway because that’s who I am and id never just walk out. Unhappy or not. So I get to my car, and honestly started crying because I’m not really the one to ever speak up in these situations, but the fact I stepped out of my comfort zone and did to avoid the situation altogether made me upset to be leaving very unhappy. So my husband called them, they offered to soak them off and issue a refund. I said great, I even tipped them for the soak off. Got my refund. All was well and then a few days later I get an alert that the nail salon authorized MY card (that I had paid with) (without my permission) at first for 90$ but it was just a hold and got released. Well then they authorized it AGAIN for the same 75$ I originally paid (again without my permission ) and this time the transaction posted to my account. So I’ve been contacting the manager for weeks and she’s been giving me the run around. Telling me to call my bank, and make sure this isnt a mistake blah blah blah so I did and it in fact wasn’t and I already knew that. I went into the nail salon today to solve the issue and she tried to offer the money in the form of a salon gift card, but after this whole experience I’d rather take my business else where and I politely let her know that. But that must have upset her because she started being extremely rude. Very unprofessional & I won’t ever be back nor recommend this salon to anyone. Infinity nail bar in federal way does amazing long sets with beautiful designs, if you’re curious about where else to go. Plus they’re SO very nice & welcoming. They’ll be sure to take...
Read moreYesterday I was looking for a nearby nail salon to fix my broken nail and decided to come here based on the good reviews. Booking was very easy online and I was about to get in within the hour. I was excited to find a spot close-by and potentially switch over from a north end studio. Unfortunately for me this turned out to be the worst experience I’ve had at a nail salon. The person at the front desk was very friendly so I was hopeful but everything went downhill the moment she sat me down and my nail tech came over. The first red flag was her ignoring me when I smiled and said hi. Second, was how rough she was. I had a nail break up to the nail bed the day before so I had a fresh wound on it which she saw, but proceeded to file the acrylic extension aggressively. I even winced in pain a couple times and she disregarded it. Then, I asked for cream/beige colored french tips (I made the mistake of not looking up a photo beforehand bc I thought it was a straight forward design). She looked at me and asked, “not white?”. I replied, “no, can I do a cream color?” She got up to grab another color for me but without showing me she just said “this isn’t white” and put the color on my nails. Turns out….it’s a shimmery white. I asked her again if there was anything darker and she just flat out says no. I’ve never been to a nail salon where I wasn’t shown color options- is this because I said French tip and they only think it can be done with white?? At this point I was just going to let it go and settle for the white. After my nails were finished, the total was $86 before tip. I’m thankful to have the broken nails fixed but after I saw my nails in natural lighting I cannot justify the amount I paid for these messy nails. They’re bumpy and not even filled up to the cuticles. Photos were taken 10 minutes after I...
