Not knowing what really to expect I decided to book Pink Jeep Tours and I am so glad I did! I signed up for the 3 hour sunset tour which took place from 5 PM - 8 PM. Our driver was Frank and he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and funny! He took us on some cool stops on the tour and gave us time to walk and check out the different scenery spots, answer questions, and took pics for us. I would definitely recommend using Pink Jeep Tours especially if you have never been to the Grand Canyon and not sure what to expect or where to stop for amazing views of the canyon...

Terrible experience. The driver had an attitude and left the pick-up spot even when we were there waiting for him 10 minutes before the agreed time, then he lied to his home base saying that we were not ready for him. My family and I stayed at the Red Feather Hotel near the park entrance. We booked a 2 hrs morning tour to pick us up at the hotel at 8:30 am. We were all sitting there (in 2 tables) at 8:21 am. when the driver came in asking for our group to the hotel receptionist. When I saw this (about 5 seconds after he came in) I approached him to say hi. He screamed at me: "I called and you didn't answer!" (it was still 9 min before the agreed time, and this was 5 seconds after he came in the hotel) and he stormed out angrily and drove away, while me, my wife and the receptionist just watched in disbelief. We called the company and they called the driver who said we were not ready because we were eating (there is no food at the Red Feather Hotel), so he returned. I confronted him for his rudeness, and he screamed at me in front of some other passenger that were waiting in the Jeep, then he left again. I will admit that the lady on the phone was trying to be nice, and they did refund us immediately after I asked for it. Luckily for us, the hotel was able to hook us up with another company for a 3 hr tour that left at 9:30 am. We had a wonderful time with the other company. To the people at Pink Jeep: You have many bad reviews because of a rude driver; do something about it. If you want to contact me I can give you...

We unfortunately took this tour and would never recommend this to anyone. TLDR: You will have had a better and more informative trip going yourself and reading the posted signs.

Two key issues:

  1. tour guide did not pay attention to the itinerary and made the 2hour tour a 4 hour tour without my consent. Not only was this terrible for our hungry young children, it also ruined our day as we had to miss our next plans. When I flagged we were over on time, he told me I was wrong. Fuming, I pulled up my receipts and he finally checked his paperwork, and then realized he was in the wrong. By the time we returned it was 2hrs later then we were supposed to return.

  2. tour guide was a terrible guide. He spent the whole time telling stories about himself (random stuff like his travels in different parts of the country, his girlfriends, weird stuff) and previous guests he didn't like (very unprofessional to talk so much about previous guests on my opinion).

I wanted to learn about the history of the grand canyon, the facts about it, how it was formed, the flora and fauna... He was not at all informative about any of this. Making it even more frustrating, he kept talking about religion (no one asked for religious information) like the Easter events, and he mentioned 3 separate times how the timeline of the formation of the grand canyon was different from the biblical timeline (wtf?!?) so random.

Spare yourself don't book with pink...

We did a tour with Pink Jeep this week to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Mathers Point is by far the best of the best to experience the Grand Canyon in all its beauty! We were picked up at our hotel, provided a small breakfast, given a vast amount of knowledge of the history of the everything we passed on the way, stopped for a bathroom break, drove for a while longer before stopping for lunch at a really cool shop to stretch out our legs, drove awhile longer and finally reached Mathers Point. It's so worth the drive from Vegas though!! Plus, we still had time to stop by Yavapai Point, and Bright Angel Point! This was a once in a lifetime experience that I was so happy to get to do. Having a guide to help with the first experience was just what I needed. I'm so happy that they have such experienced guides that are so kind and thoughtful. Our guide even kept a close eye on us and knew when we got ourselves lost. He was able to find us pretty quickly and bring us back to the group. The most dangerous part of our trip was a squirrel that tried to steal our bag of souvenirs into the canyon... Thanks so much for all that you do Pink Jeep!! We loved it 💯%

Great Experience with Beautiful Views - thanks Brian! Our Pink Jeep Tour at the Grand Canyon South Rim was a fantastic way to explore the park without the hassle of driving ourselves. The service was organized and professional, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The ride was comfortable and fun, with great access to scenic viewpoints. Our guide Brian was knowledgeable, friendly, sharing interesting history and fun facts along the way. Brian took plenty of pictures for us, which was a nice touch! While it wasn’t the most thrilling experience ever, it was a great way to see the Grand Canyon stress-free with a guide who made sure we got the best views. If you're looking for a well-run, scenic tour with great photo opportunities, this is a solid choice! Pick the off-road package for a more thrilling experience. Note, weather was great for us, but pay attention to time of year for both temperatures and visibility.

Pink Jeep Tours are great, BUT, if you don't book a private tour you are locked in to hours with a screaming child if the child is unhappy. We booked a tour and were basically running behind because the kid wouldn't put on their seatbelt. We just sat there while the mom argued with the small child about putting the seatbelt on. The driver couldn't drive until she did so he just sat quietly and patiently. Throughout the tour we endured the child's temper tantrums and screaming to a point where we could not hear our guide and what he was saying. I was not happy. This was not a great experience. Also, per the itinerary it said there would be stops we did not cover, it said something about walking but it was more like hiking. We have done a few Pink Jeep Tours but this one in my opinion was the worst time managed due to the family in the jeep with us and I didn't feel we should have been penalized because of that.
