Read moreHorrible JUDGEMENTAL Service. The management/staff at the store were absolutely awful. We have a family of five 3 babies under 5. We were traveling due to a death in the family, and had been driving for hours on end. We decided to stop at the Grand Canyon to try and bring a small bit of happiness to the trip. Unfortunately we didn’t pack coats so decided to swing into the General Store to pick up a few sweatshirts. While there the management/owners followed me around judgementally as I tried to pick out five sweatshirts because my children, like normal children were touching stuffed animals. About 5 mins in an employee approached me and told me I should be purchasing the toy my one year old was holding because it touched the floor. At the cash register, the women owner told me that her daughter was very strict with her children and she didn’t have any understanding for my children. What a very rude and judgemental environment. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY here or give them your business.

This is the only "grocery store" in the area and the second one (by the same name) if you count the one inside the park. Prices are astounding compared to what you might find in larger cities. Be prepared to pay $8.5 - $10 for a pack of sliced lunch meats, $6 for a chocolate bar, $5 for a half-gallon of milk and $7 for 2 pears. The unfortunate alternative is to pay for food at the restaurants where you have even less control over quality. If you can, go to a Wal-mart in Flagstaff and pack a cooler full of food for your entire stay at the...
