I stopped going here because the staff has no idea of what they are doing..... the very first time I went here my arm and my health was good after that I have had bruised arms and when I complained to them about my last and recent visit, this particular employee kept jabbing my arm over and over again and that my arm hurt during the procedure (I said something during this visit too) and after for about 10 days my arm (from the inside of the elbow to my shoulder) was in pain still with horrible bruising, all they said was sorry, I felt sick and my arm was in horrible pain for almost 2 weeks I wish I could post a pic to show my arm. I was told that the employee who did this to my arm, when she was returning the blood back in my arm after they took the plasma, that the blood was going around the vein and not in it the way it should have, the employee informed me of this when I called to complain along with a lousy apology. I will never come back to this clinic because I value my health and my life. Out of the 6 or 7 times I have came here only, one person knew what they were doing. This clinic doesn’t train their employees the proper and correct way, which is very scary for someone who trusts them to do their job properly. GCAM, you really need to train your staff the proper and correct way to extract plasma and deliver blood back to the...
Read moreThis is the worst plasma center I’ve ever had the displeasure of working with. Since day one I have faced nothing but problems. It took me visiting three times a week for a month just to find out if they’d got my records transferred from a different center. All because they wouldn’t tell me yes or no on the phone. Finally after solving that, the first visit was long and miserable because they claimed to be short staffed. It’s been a year of donating twice weekly and they are still as slow as ever and still using the same excuse. They don’t answer their phones, they only ever have 1 person screening at a time, and they regularly take 20 mins or more to unhook you. Despite this, seeing employees in little groups chatting and laughing while people are waiting is a common sight. The time it’s takes to do a donation in this center almost makes a drive to Boise and back faster.
The general attitudes of the staff are bad. Everyone makes you feel like an inconvenience if you have a question or need something outside the ordinary show up, donate, get out.
Don’t try to show up more than 10 mins late for an appointment either, cause they won’t let you in. Forget about the fact that it would have taken them 45 mins to get you screened if you had shown up on time. Forget about the fact that your donation is “life saving.” ...
Read moreFirst review: 5-stars Just started donating and it has been a great experience!
Update: 3-stars My first two visits were great. However I got a bruise which honestly wouldn’t be a big deal except they didn’t explain the deferment process. I waited until the bruise went away, came back in and got checked out THEY scheduled an appointment for me later that day and when I arrived at my appointment they told me I couldn’t donate. By the time I can finally donate again two weeks will have gone by for no reason other than the fact that no one explained correctly what needed to be done to get cleared. We shall see how this goes from here. It started great.
Second Update: 1-star They deferred me for 8 weeks because they messed up twice and I had “2 less than 200ml blood losses” the amount of blood I’ve lost is less than what doctors take for labs. In some ways I understand they “have to be cautious” but I hardly lost any blood. I’m not sure if at this point I’m going to continue. This has been more of a headache than what it is worth. If you made it this far in the review I hope your experience is better than mine but don’t hold...
