Grandview Event Center at Hotel Tybee — Local services in Tybee Island

No, no, no! Run from this place. I just had a horrible experience at this venue 2 weeks ago for a destination wedding. It is filthy, unorganized with no staff and in need of a lot of attention. The positive reviews on here are no way about the current owners and it’s renovation (or lack there of). The names they are mentioning are not even the owners. Please, please go see this venue before you book anything! I could only do a FaceTime look at the place so I couldn’t see the real condition. When I arrived and complained the owner told me “who books a place without looking at it. If you had come here you would have seen the condition”. Notice she doesn’t disagree with the condition. Most of the horrible pictures on here are from 2 weeks ago and I will post more. I am only doing this to save anyone from going thru what we did with this venue. Last week I ate the Friday special prime rib dinner and it was fresh and good . I invited several locals to come this week . Last week the restaurant was empty. So they served last weeks special this week. The potatoes were cold , the salad was rotten, the prime rib was cold with a powdered “gravy” on top. Worst meal I’ve ever sat down to, it embarrassed me for inviting people . The “chef” didn’t even come close to apologizing . He was pissed we called him out on a horrible dangerous meal. We all just got up and left never to return . Week old meat, potatoes and salad is disgusting and dangerous. If you book here for a catering event it may cost $60-$80 per head and it’s an outdated moderately clean venue . Go to Hilton Head for that price. I wouldn’t feed my dog...

The Grandview Event Center is an awesome venue to host your party or event. Pirate Fest is right around the corner and our pre party was epic! This pirate gathering is an annual event.
