I very rarely give bad reviews. But I just left this store very disappointed. I have been going to this store for years, and the customer service was always very good. Today, one employee yelled at after speaking to my daughter in Spanish and my daughter didn't understand and began speaking about my fairer loud enough for me to hear. I was dealing with my son, but when I turned in I heard what she was saying. I asked her if she speaking was about my daughter, and she replied that she was. I apologized in Spanish and told her that my daughter doesn't understand Spanish, she then told me that I should have told my daughter and that we were both rude. I told her that she had to have better customer service skills when working in retail. She then raised her voice and began to tell me that she's very educated and went to school in Cuba and has her degree in psychology and knows how to deal with people very well. I asked her to please lower her voice to which she responded her voice was low, and walked away. After this my son went to buy something from the toy machines up front, and it ate his money. We spoke to two different ladies and they were both very unhelpful. I asked to speak with a manger about how bad the customer service has gotten. And employee called over the loud speaker for her, she called her on the phone. The manager refused to speak with me, and asked that I waited in the front for her. I waited about 5mins. I asked the same employee for the manager's name, the employee paused and responded Marggie". I left and called the store and asked for a maggie, and there was no one there with that name. I asked to speak to a manager and they said she was busy and doesn't answer calls from people she doesn't know. Horrible shopping experience. I Will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverpriced, and clearly underpaid workers doing the most, if you read the reviews everyone is complaining about this old hispanic woman basically accusing anyone in there of stealing. Obviously this is a failing business and the workers are not helping at all. Absolutely horrible experience. I have never in my life written a review, wish i could do 0 stars. Used to come here often and never had issues. Today I found this jacket i really liked since im visiting from greece with my girlfriend, and a snow storm came out of nowhere, this said jacket had no price tag but a antitheft device, so me and my girlfriend decided to just go for it and see what the price is when we go pay. After stacking 2 carts we went to the "self checkout" register only to be met with the most rude, unprofessional absolute losers with a very clear sad pathetic life. I suppose my greek threw them off or maybe the fact that my clothes werent up to their standard. There was an old hispanic woman, just sitting arms crossed with a smug look on her face right behind me and my girlfriend acting as if we had stolen something? We were gonna spend a good amount of money on this store but were judged on appearance, language and idk what other possibilities but this was disgusting and i up and left. Dont waste your money here! (And i wanna emphasise the rude and uncomfortable presense of all staff workers, but especially the 20 year old virgin weeb manager and the old hag at...

My friend and I recently visited the Union City location and were appalled by the unacceptable behavior of an employee. We were browsing and sorting through clothes, placing items we were considering on an empty rack to review later. Suddenly, a staff member approached us and began berating us for this common thrift store practice.
When we politely asked for guidance on how to handle the items we didn't want, he initially suggested bringing them to the front. However, he quickly backtracked and aggressively ordered us to return each item to its original rack, claiming it was our responsibility to avoid inconveniencing the staff. This is not only unreasonable but also incorrect - it is the staff's responsibility to maintain the store's organization, not the customers'.
We were taken aback by his unkind tone and gaslighting behavior, making us feel like we were being inconsiderate and ignorant. In reality, we were more than willing to bring the items to the front, as is common practice in many thrift stores. His aggressive demeanor and condescending language made us feel disrespected and unwelcome.
As a result, we were so upset that we left our carts of desired items behind and exited the store. It's a shame, as we had planned to make a significant purchase. Instead, we left with a sour taste in our mouths and a disappointment in the store's...
