DressCode — Attraction in Upper Providence Township

Great service ! Lots of dress choices and the owner helps pick the perfect dress for your personality ! Shopped at tons of stores and never get treated like I matter but here it’s a great experience and I’ve now got my Jr prom dress and my Sr prom dress and both dresses I loved ! I’ve read some other reviews that should not be on here about treated like they weren’t going to buy but if you read every prom dress stores rules they all say a parent must be with you when shopping for dress , so this store isn’t any different then the rest of the stores and they won’t even let you in the front door without a parent or paying for appointment so those reviews shouldn’t be taken into account because it’s the rule in all dress stores and if you call and don’t get an answer leave a message she’s one woman and gives her attention to the person trying dresses on she will get back to you but I promise you this store is definitely worth waiting for and making a trip to check it out ! ! Our experience here started off good with one of the younger girls helping us. Everyone was friendly, including the owner, until she started to become annoyed with my daughter for being so picky. My daughter hates being the center of attention, so I made it very clear that she was feeling overwhelmed. We finally got my daughter out of the dressing room to walk to the back room bc nobody else was back there, and immediately after, the owner along with every single employee bombarded her in the back room all at once. At that point she was over it and just wanted to leave, but the owner started being incredibly pushy about trying on more dresses. When my daughter told her she didn’t like the color of a dress she had picked for her, the owner said straight to her face “I don’t care about the color, I’m not worried about that.” She had a major attitude towards my daughter and basically told her that she’s never going to find everything she’s looking for in a dress. I understand that it’s their job to help, however being too pushy and smothering us is what pushed us...

I want to personally thank Lisa and her staff for all their time and hard work over the last few years for making my girls stand out at the prom! I have twin girls and had tried all the “big box” stores only to find they’re not much help and the selection is quite limited. I even tried a spot where we paid for a dressing room and selected dresses online beforehand. We left unimpressed w no dresses. We found Dress Code on social media and decided to give it a shot. Lisa and her team were pleasant, knowledgeable, and very personable. They made my girls feel very special and put my mind at ease with the decision to buy our dresses from her shop.
