Fisherman's Wharf Marina — Attraction in Virginia Beach

I booked a transient slip at Fisherman’s Wharf Marina 22-26 June 2023. From the moment my crew arrived we were provided first class service. We were greeted by two dock hands that helped us tie up my 37 foot cruiser and get me connected to shore power. The shower rooms were clean and air conditioned. The slip came with a full size dock box which was convenient to help de clutter my boat during our stay. My crew was visiting VA Beach to attend the music festival and it was comforting to know that my boat was being watched by the staff while I was away from the slip. One day an alarm went off on my boat while I was at the beach and the marina called me to inform me and we were able to quickly resolve the alarm issue. The staff emptied out garbage bins throughout the marina multiple times a day and kept the marina clean and docks clear of obstructions. The Marina also catered a picnic with a band Saturday afternoon for all their slip holders including transients. The Marina is just a short walk to many restaurants and the beach. The annual slip holders were friendly and a pleasure to meet and socialize with during our stay. We were excited to stay at this marina until we got there. $3 a foot for dockage - the most we HAVE EVER PAID - and diesel fuel at 20% more than the fuel dock next door. We paid both rates because we were tired. And to top it off a naval air station is nearby and they practiced landings and take-offs all day and into the night. It was mind numbingly loud.

On the good side, you are 10 minutes to the beach and LOTS of good...
