Rip off!!! For a simple flat repair...

I brought my car into Firestone complete auto care (Wayne Willowbrook Mall) with a flat tire. All I was looking for was for the flat to be repaired (Simple plug and fix)... The staff was very nice and accommodating - I was told they would review the tire and provide me a courtesy check on my car and that it would take about an hour and half.... An hour later, I was explained by the staff that my flat could not be repaired, based on the location of the flat and offered me a couple of options (1. Purchase one new tire or 2. replace both front tires, as they saw there was only a little tread left on the other front tire. In addition, they informed that I has an oil leak and that they could repair that as well... With a $730 bill in front of me, I thanked them for their time and said "NO Thank You, please just return my donut spare so that I could take the car someplace else".

I then took my car to another repair shop, where my flat tire was easily repaired - in fact, they said there was only a small hole. Additionally, I was told that I had many more miles of tread left on these tires and by no means did they need to be replaced. The only thing they got right was that I did in fact have a small oil leak near my oil pressure sensor ($33 part) which I had repaired for a fraction of they were charging me.

This prompted me to write this review, as this is outrages and if I could maybe prevent someone else from getting ripped off by this place - it would be worth it... Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else...this place works hard to be nice, while...

New tires. Alignment. After some time I noticed the car shook violently when I needed to slow down rapidly. Second opinion results. Over torqued lug nuts warped the rotor. Toyota calls for 76ft/lbs. These guys had it at 130 to 138ft/lbs. Car is not safe at this point. Only fix is new rotors. Returned for tire rotation and to talk to the manager. The typical speech followed "that could never happen" and I don't know what I was talking about. The guy started to redirect when I showed him a Web result showing warped rotors due to excessive torque and disclosed that I got a second opinion. Classic. As I got the keys I also got the overwhelming feeling we need this guy out of the door ASAP from the front desk. Never had that before. Got home and GUESS WHAT ? Torque wrench showed 130 to 138ft/lbs. Guess I wasn't clear enough. Ps get a second opinion on so called "you should do these repairs ASAP" My second opinion showed most of mine were not needed. Despite Life time service purchased I am strongly considering ending my 20 year account. Hope these information keeps someone from getting into accident or at very least saves someone from doing...

Out of all the malls this is 2nd best ( Bergen town center is still numero uno ) but this one has more stores and more diverse food selection... now only thing is that some stores are outside the mall itself and technically some of them dirt count as part of the mall... but it's in the same block radious... eiiiiither way, then have a lot of good stores and boutiques and even a theater that's separate from the mall.. that's a good thing so there's more parking. All thou this theater is set to close soon .

Now parking as most malls is a challenge but this one is not as bad as Bergen and nothing is as worst as garden state... so with that said even when you park "far" legit without a doubt is a 3 minute walk... people let's be this fat lazy bums that can't walk 128 steps.

Now this mall is expanding rapidly with a new D&B that opened a few months ago and some new stores and restaurants opening by end of the year .. like I said is not part of Willowbrook Mall but is in the same damn facility lol.

Good bus transportation near by to NYC and...
