I bought 2 pairs of glasses. 1 for everyday, 1 for Special occasions. I paid extra insurance on the Special ones. Thay were close to $1,000 Total for both pair. Over the course of 2 years I may have worn the Special glasses 10 times max. They're uncomfortable. My relative noticed the spots on both sides of these glasses. I bought them in West Allis. When I took them in They told me I had 30 days to return any glasses. The extra insurance paid was worthless. I don't recommend. Those "Expensive" glasses were rarely worn. Not Worth The Cost. I won't be back.

I bought eyeglasses 2 years ago at America's best. I am purchasing eyeglasses again this year. Found flat metal frames last the longest. Optometrist exams, flourosein photos of the eyes too. Small dollar amount for eyeglasses. Free parking available. Wheelchair accessable. Purchased with insurance copay, eyeglasses they are great.

Really great experience with Nada and the team. We were welcomed when we arrived and everything went fast and easy. The eye exam went well and the fitting of the gasses was great. I was with my mother in law and it was a great experience for her. Thank you for your work and time!

Absolutely Garbage, West Allis Location. I have been going to America's Best for many years and that location. Although I have run into some inadequacies, the price and customer service have offset that. I am done. Forget about making an eye appointment because they run always 20 to 30 minutes behind, so leave yourself plenty of time. Today, my eye appointment was 25 minutes behind They were woefully understaffed and sitting there waiting to pick out my glasses, not to mention pay for my service I was there 70 minutes before I told them I had to leave. There was a person ahead of me that wasn't waited on yet so I would have been there for at least another 60 minutes after the first 70 minutes. There was the optometrist, the person helping the optometrist, one person behind the counter, and one person who I think was the manager talking on the phone to who I think was a district manager for at least 30 minutes. There was one person waiting to pick out glasses and or pay ahead of me, myself, and three people in line. When I came out on my eye test, the manager was already on the phone talking about applicants. I guess there are people lined up breaking down the door to work there, apparently because they only had two people apply, interesting. Listening to the conversation and the managers Power Trip I can see why nobody is working there. You're selling glasses it's not rocket science, although she made it seem that way. You CAN'T sell anything if there is no one there. So instead of her saying to the district manager on the phone hey we're backed up here, I'll have to call you back. We all sat there trying to pay and or spend money on glasses. That place is run like an absolute failure, and it shows. So now I'm probably going to go somewhere else and pay three times as much for glasses because this place doesn't know how to handle their business. I used to walk in there, and there would be so many employees that are working it was great! Horrible leadership trickles down pretty darn fast, doesn't it. Also, while waiting, there are a couple of ladies ahead of me waiting 2 months for warranty work on $125 frames! Like I said, the issues were outweighed by the cost, now, it's just the opposite. It's not worth the...

The staff overall was great and accommodating but the doctor not so great. My appointment was back in July 2024. My initial appointment felt rushed and half of the time when I was doing the eye exam, I couldn’t even see the letters but got the ok for my prescription. I had asked the doctor to switch my contacts brand to a new one because the one I was currently using at the time dried my eyes out. My membership was ending soon, so the staff offered to apply a 10% discount for my new contacts which I appreciated but it all kind just went downhill from there.

They didn’t have the particular brand the doctor wanted me to try on so they told me it would be shipped to my home within 7-14 days. It took 2 months for my contacts to arrive. In that time, I called to check the status and the staff would tell me that it was that particular brand that was having issues. I went into the store one day and explained to the receptionist what happened, they somehow had trials of the brand in stores so she gave me a month supply and was told to come back in a week for the doctor to recheck.

I go in for my second appointment, did the whole eye exam over and I had some questions regarding my prescription. My vision was still blurry and I have an astigmatism. My prescription for eye glasses and contacts were different which I’ve never seen before so I was just wanted to confirm with the doctor that it was correct. With an attitude she says “So you think I’m wrong?”. At the time, I was just too shocked to say anything but explained to her that I just haven’t seen two different prescriptions for me bc it was not an issue in the past.

Fast forward to now, yes, I do think she was wrong. Wrong to speak to a patient that way with an attitude and my prescription is wrong. My astigmatism has gotten worse and so has my vision. I’m constantly getting headaches bc I’m squinting so much and I have a box full of months of supply of contacts left untouched. It hasn’t been a full year yet since my appointment and I need another eye exam. Wasted money and time. I would not recommend this place or the doctor. Your needs will not be addressed and if it is, it will feel like you’re an inconvenience...

Initially, upon arrival I was greeted, which supports some level of professionalism. I then was ushered to the back area where after about 10 minutes a portly hispanic lady ushered me into a room to check my eyesight using various methods/devices. She was rushing the methods as if she didn't want to do her job with professionalism and she was attitudinal and not very friendly! But the minute a black man came next her attitude shifted to pleasant, jovial, laughter and engagement! I was blown back but not surprised. Afterwards, I went back to the front where I was supposed to choose the frames and did not understand this because again, it was my first time ever getting prescription glasses. What gave it away was that particular black male customer walking around fitting the frames to his face. I then followed his example as the Hispanic lady worker ignored me. She then walked passed me and began talking to him and I knew I had to interrupt her because I was there before him and i wasnt going to stand for anymore of this nonsense! So, the second she looked in a different direction from him I grabbed her attention right away. The Hispanic women in here would rather ignore African American women when we enter but rather help others instead! I shared with her that this was my first experience and was not quite informed which she still did not explain the differences in the prescriptions like; progressives vs. Bifocal where you can see the lines. I had to find out later to get progressives because she was rushing me off. I the returned the next day to get progressives. I reported her to the manager (the African American guy) who said she should've explained it. This guy was extremely customer oriented, very professional and he took the time to explain all the differences. I'm not sure whats going on with the Hispanic women in this general area of West Allis but American Glasses, practice better hiring because I will not be returning... ever again! But 5 stars to the young man because he's a definite winner and...
