Megaplex Theatres -Valley Fair Mall — Attraction in West Valley City

I attended the 6:30 showing of the Mummy with 2 Friends and found 2 men sitting in our seats . The 2 refused to vacate our seats and then eventually took 2 seats away from a larger group whom arrived a short while later . I asked a Manager to check their actual tickets and to either ask the 2 to take those seats and or to be evicted if they did not have actual tickets to the movie. One of the men had made a threat....and the Manager did nothing to settle the matter. I suppose his reluctance to actually do anything was due to his lack of experience and young age. I asked for a refund and he disappeared for a lengthy time. When he reappeared he offered free tickets and did not have my refund. I did not ask for anything free....and only for a refund. He again disappeared . As I stood there the General Manager came out and was walking by. He greeted me and asked how I was doing ? I replied with not very happy....and so he stopped. The General manager Mr. Faulk then did basically the same. Mr. Faulk did not agree to investigate what happened to the larger party that was also disrupted by the 2 men taking 2 of their seats. It was bad enough the 2 refused to remove themselves from 2 of our seats....and even worse when they took 2 seats belonging to a larger party. I have never in my life encountered such a situation and thought management could rectify it....HUGE MISTAKE......Mr. Faulk's only solution was to offer me free tickets and concessions......and not actually send a message to the 2 that such behavior was not acceptable. I then received a call from a company president Mr. Blake....and he seemed unable to understand Proper Phone Courtesy involving not speaking over other people. Mr. Blake then played the Victim Card and berated me....All in all.....He made the situation worse. There are other theaters and as for me....I will never attend a Larry H Miller...

Today November 16th they accused me of paraphernalia and other things subtance related, I can't help but think because of how I was dressing and I bought a ticket to watch venom: the last dance. They gave me a warning and threatened too call the police and I didn't wanna cause more trouble and I was scared of the police and had a few encounter with some friends and family members and didn't want any charges. Over all I didn't cause and disturbance and even when I was in the theater I said shhhh one time and I laughed a few time at parts I thought was funny. I went to the restroom and that's when they walked up on me and made there accusations. They never gave a direct reason of why they were kicking me out. They claimed that I had something and I said they could search but didn't have it. Told them to call the cops but they never did. I was scared if they did because I didn't want to deal with the cops and they would just make me out as the bad guy just because I didn't call first. So I left and left because they didn't want me. I went to there website to make a complaint but it's not allowing me to text at all. When I tap on send message it opens the keyboard for a split second and the keyboard goes away. I think megaplex makes it difficult on purpose because they are trying to make people who wants to make a complain to give up. If u can help me make a complaint it would be very much appreciated. They said I'm banned for a year and have not legitimate reason. I left because I'm scared of the police and if the cops are called on you. Your always the bad guy no matter what. Didn't wanna get arrested. If you can help me...

Came for a Lord of the Rings marathon and wish I hadn’t. If I could give 0 Stars I would. The bad. The seats they are old broken and wore out. One of our seats had a missing armrest and both had torn worn out material. Also very few “Luxury Seating” the so called Luxury Seating is what’s standard at all other theaters. I could go on and on about how bad the seats really are but there’s other things that were bad and need pointing out. Dirty. I was there for 13 hours for this marathon. It didn’t look like the bathrooms got cleaned once, there was water under drinking fountains the whole time. So you know it wasn’t a recent spill. Lobby was just unkept. Drink Machines. They were either out of service or the ones that’s “worked” were always out of ice, or sticky from spilt syrup. The popcorn. The popcorn they gave us was cold and tasted like it was popped the night before in preparation for this event.

The good. Staff at the snack bar were nice and friendly. The Snack Bar. The food we got between the shows was good. The sell White Monster at the snack bar

Even the white monster energy drinks aren’t enough to get me to come back. This location is honestly an embarrassment of a location and should be shut down and brought up to normal theater standards with the prices they charge.

I see the 5 Star reviews and people are excited for options every other theater does as a bare minimum. I don’t get those reviews. Overall I would not recommend this theater and would tell others to look elsewhere. Regal in Taylorsville and Cinemark in West Jordan are way...
