Our stay was from Monday to Saturday. We didn't find anywhere that the maximum time to check in was 10pm, we arrived from montreal at 9:45 so beware! When entering our room at first, we realized it was already taken. Fortunately it was empty but suitcases and personal belongings were everywhere. We informed the front desk and they quickly gave us a new room. Upon first look the room looked nice and clean. Only the flat sheets were on the bed but the other sheets were hidden in the cupboard. My sister unfortunately didn't have any in her room. The bed frames are very wobbly and no support. I'm 5"5 and 125lbs, Everytime I sat on the side of the bed, the mattress would almost tip over. The room seemed relatively clean though there were plenty of dead bugs in the bathroom ceiling light, remains of toothpaste on the tap, there were some streaks on the wall besides the sink as well. My sister's room was relatively in the same shape, except there was some broken glass on the floor hidden underneath the table. The service was nice. They were generous on the towels and very friendly when speaking to their guests at the front office. The pool was cleaned every morning and there's even an exterior shower head to clean off any sand before heading in the room.

Watch out! Been to WW all my life. This may have actually been one of the worst rooms I've seen in a long while. We coughed for days in a stinky, humid room, woke up soaking wet because of the moisture, before realizing that the root of the problem was the AC air filter which had never been cleaned. Perhaps for years. Unfortunately, it took 4 days to diagnose this as we only showered and slept there. See photo. We brought it up to management on checkout (after we cleaned it) and they didn't seem overly concerned. (See photo) How was it otherwise? Ice buckets were provided with a broken ice machine. No tissues in the room. Coffee maker was provided with no coffee. No cups of any kind to be found. The walls were missing paint and caulk was falling out of the windows. The white towels were all stained in at least one spot. There was a dirty torn desk chair propped in a random corner for no reason. And, the bathtub drain wouldn't hold water with a faucet that dripped 24/7. The photos online are deceiving. Don't fall for it.

We went June 6-8, 2 adults and 2 small children. We arrived at around 145 pm on 6/8/2024 and the guy let us check in. We went to the room and I sprayed Lysol over everything. For being a “crappy motel” I must say we enjoyed our stay. Beds were small but comfortable. AC was on when we arrived and stayed on and COLD the entire time. The first night no problems. We went to the pink Cadillac for breakfast the next day, liked that everything is within walking distance. Was able to put my toddler in wagon and off we went from breakfast ,to dinner, to broad-walk it was a perfect location. Guys at the office were nice and respectful. Night 2 Friday into Saturday, a lot of people arrived, that when we returned back to the room at around 9 pm there was NO hot water! We heard constant noise throughout the night, we got up at around 7 am Saturday and packed up and headed out by 9 am on Saturday. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

I am giving Beachside Resort a 5 out of 5 stars because it was perfect for what my girlfriend and I needed. I am going to describe and leave a review based on my room and overall experience there (4 days, 3 nights). First impression walking in the room is nicely made beds! Upon further inspection of the room we found the refrigerator, nice drawers with a lot of space, nice closet space with hangers, A/C, and microwave. -The refrigerator gets a 5/5 because it kept our food cold! It wasn't very big but its not supposed to be. -The drawers were made of solid wood and were clean inside and out and did a great job of holding my 3 suitcases full of clothes; for that reason I am giving the drawers a 5/5. -I had a double bed room because it was cheaper. One bed was extremely tough (2/5 for that bed) but the bed that we slept on was AMAZING! Slept like a baby. 5/5! -The TV had good picture and enough channels to keep us entertained for the few minutes we had it on (you're at the beach). 5/5 -The microwave was a 700 watt microwave and it did its job and was clean. 5/5 Now on to the bathroom. The bathroom was clean; didn't have the best wall paper and had a few dings and scratches but it was fine. I'm there to take a clean hot shower and use the bathroom, not be amazed by their walls. The toilet was nice and clean too. Plus, they did have complimentary shampoo and shower lotion for you in the shower and housekeeping was constantly giving us new towels which really came in handy! All things considered, I'll give the bathrooms a 4/5. -Housekeeping. Every time me and my girlfriend came back we were met with all clean towels in the bathroom with new soaps and new bed sheets too. Also, I have been robbed from housekeeping before, however, I always came back to my belongings right where I had left them before here at Beachside. I had my car keys laying out, a laptop on the floor, a very expensive digital camera, 300 dollars cash in the drawers, and nothing was touched. 5/5. -A/C was AMAZING! Kept the room very cold which is great when you are walking all day in 90-100 degree weather. Perfect A/C. 5/5 If all of that is not enough, they offer a nice sized outdoor pool which can get over crowded at times but my girlfriend and I enjoyed it. There are only two grills but it worked for me and my girlfriend. We cooked burgers and hot dogs and chicken. The only thing I didn't like was that a huge family beat us to the grill and they were not very eager to finish up their little family reunion cook out they had going on. They had about 20 family members hogging the pool and grills and showed no courtesy to others trying to cook out which delayed our dinner which could have been avoided if they had not decided to cook 20 hot dogs, 20 burgers, 20 chicken legs, grilled peppers, corn on the cob, etc. Just keep in mind others want to use the grill too. Its complimentary. When you're done cooking on the grill you can go to the balcony where you can eat at a table with an umbrella and enjoy the great view you get of the street lights and Ferris wheel lights or you can eat poolside at the tables they provide there. They also have private parking for your car. At the office they have an enormous amount of brochures and packets of coupon's you can use on the board walk or anywhere in NJ. If you are a picky "too good for anything" spoiled person then this may not be for you. However, I LOVED my stay. For what I paid for I couldn't have asked for anything more. If you want a perfect hotel with 5 star chefs that cook you breakfast and that have indoor pools and all that then you can pay more and stay further from the beach. I was literally like 1 minute away from the boardwalk on foot. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time here and we will be back if in the area! Shout out to Ramon at the front desk! Great job man. The rest of the staff was very...

To start this dump doesn't deserve a star at all, but unfortunately that's the lowest rating I can give. This hands down is the most disgusting, rundown, stinkiest piece of garbage I have ever stayed in my life!!! I would of felt safer and more comfortable sleeping on a bench on the boardwalk. To start with you aren't greeted at at all you are told how you better have the amount of people registered in your room because after 8 p.m. "security" watches and you will be asked to pay more or evicted from the premises. The security there consists of workers who all must live there because we came in from the boardwalk with hopes to swim which we were not able to. We walked to the pool area to find all of the workers were taking up the majority of their small pool swimming, they took the only two tables they had eating and drinking alcholic beverages. They blared music at the pool not mindful of anyone else around them may not of wanted to hear there music. On the steps of the pool was a rusted pipe you could step on and slice your foot wide open. The rooms were disgusting. I had a sanitized toilet paper on my toilet seat yet there were 2 pubic hairs on the toilet seat, old toothpaste spit on my sink, and a collection of hair in the tub. The room reaked of cigarrette smoke. The beds felt like you were laying on stone, the blankets had stains all over them, the shelves were thick with grime, nails sticking out near kitchen sink, there was black mold and roaches in my sisters room. The staff patrols the area like watchdogs staring at you it's very creepy and unsettling. If it weren't for the rock hard beds who can sleep with such creepy staff being "security " patrolling the area? On the day of check out my sister who was staying there as well was outside waiting after she was checked out was questioned by two of the workers about why she was still there it literally had been 5 minutes since she checked out. If the owners or workers try to respond about how they would of offered us another room I have news for you all of the rooms were equally as disgusting I wasted $191 for one night for no sleep and to lay in filth. I wouldn't stay in this hotel if they gave me a night for free. This disgusting place needs shut down. If you are thinking of booking here be prepared to have the security breath down your neck and have them burn a hole through you staring, bring a mask so you don't breath in mold, have bug spray to ward off the roaches walking around with you, a clothes pin for your nose for the stench, have your tetanus shot in case you want to swim, a bottle of bleach and rags to clean your own room, clean blankets, tape for your eyes because you will be sleeping with one eye open, and have thick skin for the friendly staff. The one thing I am thankful about our stay is that we were only booked for one night in that toxic wasteland!

Response to owner: A review is such that at review of my stay. My review of my true feelings of what I experienced during my stay. Look up the definition of slander. Furthermore if you want to respond please do not respond with lies to try and negate my review of your current hotel situation. Instead take the review and use a thing called customer service and value the customers experience and fix the situation to alleviate further factual reviews. By the way if you had accurate facts you would know that my stay was booked by a third party and it was booked for 3 people myself and my 2 teenage kids. One of which decided to not go. So I still paid for 3 guests although I had 2. Did you offer me money back? No so what business is it of yours if I had larger room? Which in my opinion was not that large. Furthermore we never had any unpaid guests in our room so the next time you want to post an owners response please do so using facts just I have done in my review....

Prime location but unfortunately while the rooms are clean there’s plenty wrong with the place. The lady working the front desk is very rude and they claim check in ends at 10pm meanwhile at time of booking on Expedia and looking at my email NOTHING states that… so if you come after 10pm they act like you’re an inconvenience and catch an attitude. We get to the room and the towels are DIRTY… I call again and the lady tells me I have to wait an hour to get new towels cause the office is closed. Then when I got get the towels the girl pops off with a nasty attitude again about how this has to be done prior to 10pm cause they’re closed (never seen a hotel/motel close but ok) THEN the tv remote is beyond sticky and gross and I have to call AGAIN and have gotten zero answers regarding it so I guess I paid to stare at a ceiling and shower to dry off with brown stained white towels. If miserable staff, dirty towels and sticky broken remotes attract you then this is your next favorite place.

UPDATE: the lady that’s been rude from the start brought us a new remote with an attitude acting like it was such an inconvenience and to nobody’s surprise this remote didn’t work besides the channel buttons… also she decided to randomly barge into our room without knocking at 10am!!! We then go to the from desk cause she texted my phone demanding we do so and ignored my message asking why she barged in. When we get to the office, she starts screaming at us that we just walked through wet paint and damaged the office floor. Meanwhile, there is no signage that shows their painting and that the floor in front of the office outside has wet paint and she’s acting like it’s our problem meanwhile, my shoes Are now damaged and the bottoms are covered with gray paint. This same lady also start saying that we snuck a third person in the room, but yet that third person was there when we picked up the keys, when she had to bring us new towels, and when she was in the room again, trying to fix the TV remote and yet somehow that third person was snuck in when they were there the entire time. So she starts saying she’s charging us for that and for a late check-in but then says I did a pre-check in at 1 PM and picked up the keys at 12 AM so I confront her on that and she just keeps focusing on me allegedly sneaking in a third person that was there the entire time. Had to call the police because she was getting hostile with us and started having other employees ganging up on us, threatening to not refund my security deposit because of all this that I allegedly caused, I didn’t know I was the cause of a dirty room and a broken TV remote. Then they proceeded to tell me every hotel in Wildwood is like this meanwhile, I’ve stayed at over 10 different properties in Wildwood and have never had any issues with any of them up until now. Maybe I should find a way to charge them for damage of Our personal property with the wet paint and no signage. I’ll be dealing with this through the company I booked this through and my bank will be contacted in regards to the $200 security deposit if they don’t refund it.

UPDATE 2: upon going deep into their reviews on multiple websites, seems like I’m not the only person they have done this to. Stay as far away as possible from this place because they’re nothing...
