The Beach Hotel — Hotel in Wildwood

There was furry mold growing in the picture framed above one of the beds. The landing to the fire escape came was right outside our room's window and when we came into our room at the end of the day there were several men standing in front of it peering into our room. The windows didn't lock and being two 20-year-old girls alone we were afraid to fall asleep or leave our stuff unattended. For the whole rest of the night up until I eventually fell asleep at 4 am there were people yelling and going up and down the fire escape from the street below. At around 2 am the fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate the building, I informed the staff of the people playing around on the metal fire escape and it didn't stop. The peephole to see out into the hallway was filled up and there were no additional locks on the door besides the coded door knob. We felt uncomfortable and unsafe the entire time we were there. The bathroom was dirty and the shower wouldn't drain. We left immeditately after the first night and even after dealing with both the hotel and my bank we were unable to get our money back for the remaining nights. Probably the worst hotel I...

We had booked at another hotel for the week. We decided to book another night but Friday night of Labor Day weekend the prices at all places jumped...by a lot. We decided to try The Beach Hotel. I travel a lot and I do a lot of research. I was a little nervous to book this place but I gave it a try for one night.|The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was an issue with our room lock and they fixed it immediately. I read the beds were uncomfortable on previous reviews. Maybe they got new mattresses because the beds were very comfortable to us. The rooms are very basic but it has what you need. If you want something fancy this isn’t for you. If you are looking for a very basic, clean place to stay that’s affordable and close to the beach then this place should work for you. There were many other families staying there while we were there. I had also read about it just being young people partying but that’s not what it was like while we were there. Just families checking in and heading to the beach and boardwalk. I would definitely recommend this place if you want something affordable and basic close...
