First, i would like to state that up to this incident, My family and i have made visits to pasta pesto for several years... each year the food quality has slowly gone down. Yesterday, 7/15/2020 we made a "TAKE OUT", WE WILL PICK UP ORDER... we picked up and went back to our hotel to eat.... the salad, and lasagna looked disgusting up opening the container. The lettuce was wilted, the other contents were wilted and watery, and the "house" dressing was water! The lasagna was 1/2 covered with sauce, half not, the noodles were so soft they wouldn't stay on the fork, the cheese was water and nasty tasting... the sauce was terrible , the worst we've had anywhere. Now the best part is that the night before, we ate "TAKE OUT" at pasta pesto the night before, with no trouble and the food was good. (Not great, but definitely good).. and it was take out! I called pasta pesto to advise them of them of the bad food, The lady who spoke broken English i was talking too, flipped out and stated "what do you expect, you got take out!!!" When i said that getting take out doesn't mean you degrade the food for take out.... She flipped out again so i hung up... Point being, the food was trash, and most likley left over from another day, so it was put out to TAKE OUT customers rather than throwing it away... After years of going to pasta pesto.... they lost a...
Read moreI don't really know about the atmosphere, as we always order takeout, but it sure looks snazzy. The food is...well, it deserves the Chef's Kiss! Mwah! Baked penne with meatballs, penne with vodka sauce and shrimp. Italian wedding soup that is a meal in itself. I tell you this. That baked penne, filled with ricotta cheese and meatballs that I actually ate ( I make my own. They're hard to beat)is in the top five best meals I have had this year. 2024. I make my own sauce also. I'm a hard sell. We ate every bite so quickly that I only had one cannoli left to photograph. Crunchy, light, tasty shells with creamy yummy cannoli filling! I don't think you can go wrong here, meal-wise. Edited to add: I had the Italian Wedding soup in the fridge! Look at it! It is so good! Meatballs seasoned just right, orzo cooked to perfection. Creamy...mmm! And how did I forget the creamy, yes, creamy pesto they provide with each take-out order. I don't care for pesto. I LOVE THIS CREAMY PESTO! It tastes like avocado dip with a twist to me. Don't miss this restaurant but expect to pay between 24 to 34 dollars per plate. If you takeout you can share one between two people with the pasta dishes. I'm still exploring their menu. Come back for updates and all your...
Read moreI can't think of enough adjectives to describe how phenomenal this food was. My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights in Wildwood. We live about 2 hours and 45 minutes away. We ate at Pasta Pesto on accident. It was our last night in town and we were planning on going somewhere else but being peak season in Wildwood, we wouldn't get a table for at least 2 and a half hours. We tried 3 places before almost giving up. Called Pasta Pesto and were told it would be about a 15 minute wait. Sold! We didn't know just how much we scored. After the first bite, we were both thankful everywhere else was too packed. Our appetizer was mussel and both of us were ready to bathe in the sauce. Our entrees were equally phenomenal. Our cocktails were the best we'd had our whole trip. The cheesecake was nothing to write home about but I'm completely fine with a dining experience that dessert is the closest thing to being disappointing. Service was great. Food was great. So good, that we couldn't wait to get the 2 hour and 45 minute drive home done so we could heat up the leftovers. Which were equally amazing. I didn't even mention the pesto and fresh rolls. Seriously. Genuine Italian food is hard to come by. You've found it...
