If you are a coaster enthusiast I’d suggest u ride this just for the credit. If rough and unpleasant ride experiences aren’t ur thing tho I’d run as far away from this thing as possible, if ur just starting out with coasters go ride great nor Easter or sea serpent at the same place, even tho they have loops they are more forgiving than great white. While the first drop on this thing is fun as well as the forces it provides…. It’s the toughest roller coaster I’ve been on. While I do give it a pity party due to that it’s wooden it is still rough and nothing changes that. The first turn out of the station is so uncomfortable and from there forward u must brace for every turn. If u r over 6’0 I would heavily advise to sit alone because you would be hurting yourself and others while riding in pairs. Read moreMy favorite rollercoaster of all time. It's an old-school wooden one that is getting rarer these days. But beyond that, this coaster is quite unique. Immediately out of the station, it unexpectedly drops you down a steep tunnel under the boardwalk... This is unlike anything else I've been on. While ascending the lift, you are pointing towards the ocean, so the view is spectacular and it feels like you will drop into the water. Once at the top, hang on. You are out of your seat for a sizable portion of the ride and it's a rough ride.... Part of the fun. A+. it's great fun and far exceeded...
Read moreOh the Great White, where do I start? When I was a kid this rollercoaster was as scary as the Jaws movies!! Something about a rickety wooden roller coaster, with the beams so close to your head. It’s probably the most authentic vintage rollercoaster experience I’ve ever had.
The Morey’s Pier company maintains it very well. I’ve rarely heard of issues arising and I hope it stands the test of time for years to come.
