Overall pleasant beach trip with my church family this weekend! The beach was incredibly clean, family friendly, lots of food options and entertainment.
Finding a spot for our large group was easy. Although the beach had a huge crowd it’s such a large & boardwalk that you don’t really feel overwhelmed. I wish I’d been here earlier in the summer when I had more free time, I would’ve stayed for an entire week!
The parking can be a little tricky around the boardwalk because they’re so many options for different prices. But I found a nice garage right by the boardwalk and amusement attractions. I paid $25 from 8am-430pm on Saturday. On Sunday, I arrive at about 930am, and that parking garage price had gone up to $35 due to volume and demand, so I opted to park on E Wildwood Ave for $5/hour from 930am-230pm. Depending on what street you’re parked on determines the price you pay for street parking. All street parking (and even some parking lots) use the Pay Mobile Parking app so it’s super easier to increase your time if need be.
I really loved my experience and would highly recommend it...
Read moreWildwood's car parking is borderline predatory and deceiving: The ParkMobile app/system does not disclose paid hours, so when visitors drive in late in the evening and park (and presumably don't feed the meter thinking late hours are free parking), they will immediately get a $35 ticket. Parking meters in effect from 8am - midnight 7 days a week and costs $5 per hour (plus 45 cent "processing fee"). DO NOT park on the street if staying longer than a couple hours. Use a parking garage/lot and try to get in before Friday, because price gouging starts on weekends. If you pay the meter, the Police Department now knows how much time you paid and when it'll expire. As soon as you forget to pay you will get a ticket. I received mine 2 MINUTES after forgetting to add money in the meter before moving to a...
Read moreI guess we came at a time it wasn't sunny and there were a lot of clouds and overcast .We made our way 2 blocks from our hotel to the Broadwalk, where stairs takes you down to the beach .Now this was one of the longest walks I ever had to do to make it to the water. But don't worry for those who are unable to walk the distance there's a trolly ride that takes you close to the beach as you come down the stairs ,only cost $2 per person. This was around 10am where the entire area was foggy and had alot of clouds ,making it hard for you to even see the sun.Only when we were leaving the sky...
